Alum: I loved how close-knit everyone was. All the teachers are always there to help whenever you need it, even if it's a matter in your personal life. They set you up for success in college. Senior: South Hardin High school provides a safe space for students to learn and grow. Although South Hardin is a small school, the administration does a good job preparing students for the future and providing various opportunities for its students. The administration puts quality effort into assisting students and leading them to success. However, as with other schools, South Hardin is not perfect. South Hardin activities tend to be Eldora-focuses, so commutes may be more difficult or may require leaving early in the morning/coming home late at night if you live further away from the school. Students in the area are more closed-minded and not as friendly/accepting of new students as a larger school. At times there is a lack of communication to the parents and sometimes even the students. Despite these issues, South Hardin has still been an excellent school district and supports learning in every possible way.... Read 30 reviews

Senior: I had a great experience at my high school. I stayed involved in lots of activities. I'm thankful my school had an abundant amount of activities and variety. It was nice going to a small school, because I was able to be involved in many activities even if they interfered once in awhile. My school went to standard grading hoping to prepare us for college. Senior: I liked how involved the teachers are and how much they care. Everyone there is very nice and try to help out in any way possible. They do not want to see you fail and push to make sure you don't. One thing I would like them to change is to prepare you for the real world.
