Greenville High School
#2 Best Public High Schools in Greene County
- Greenville Central School District, NY
- Rating 3.37 out of 5 60 reviews
Junior: Overall, my experience with the Greenville Central School District has been positive. Every year I have studied here, I feel I have learned all the information I need to succeed in my examinations and more in almost all of my classes. For a small, rural school, Greenville has very successful athletics teams which I have had the privilege of both participating and taking leadership roles in. The extracurricular programs are diverse and plentiful, with the Future Farmers of America club standing out as an incredibly useful program for students to improve as leaders, orators, agriculturalists, and members of the community. The facilities of Greenville are older and do not meet modern demands for high school athletics; however, renovations are currently underway which will provide the school with an entirely new track, along with tennis courts, baseball and softball fields, and soccer fields.

- Coxsackie-Athens Central School District, NY
- Rating 3.49 out of 5 67 reviews
Alum: Coxsackie-Athens High School was a close-knit community of teachers and students who supported each other and helped me to become the person I am today. The teachers are amazing and the level of academics was challenging and exciting. We had a great sports team and great opportunities here. My most enjoyable opportunity was the college-in-high school program which allowed me to take college credits before I even got to college. Because of it, I was able advance an entire year ahead in college! Thank you Coxsackie Athens.

Cairo-Durham High School
#4 Best Public High Schools in Greene County
- Cairo-Durham Central School District, NY
- Rating 3.36 out of 5 58 reviews
Niche User: Cairo-Durham High School was much like any other high school. The faculty and staff is what sets Cairo-Durham apart from every other high school. Many of the teachers genuinely cared about how their students were doing in and out of school. While they couldn't do much about how their students were out of school, teachers would make themselves readily available all throughout the school day, after school, and on weekends via email. Without the courtesy and generosity of the teachers, I do believe that many students would have ended up staying back a year. Teachers pushed us to be our best selves, and that's the most that anyone could ever ask for.

- Hunter-Tannersville Central School District, NY
- Rating 4 out of 5 36 reviews
Senior: Hunter-Tannersville Middle/High School is a great school. The small community allows for better connections between students and teachers. I found my years as a student at this school were amazing while I still got a good education. There is a lot of pride that unites even the whole town in this one school. This is the type of school that I would want my future children to attend.
