Senior: University High School (UHS) has a total of roughly 400 students. With small schools, the community feels tighter, and everyone feels like family. The staff and teachers develop a strong bond where they can communicate with honesty and openness. UHS provides a safe space of support for those who may face problems at home, and its understanding staff and students create a welcoming atmosphere for all. The school also has an excellent curriculum that guides students towards academic excellence. Students are required to take AP and dual-enrollment classes, which adequately prepares them for the next level in college. UHS trusts its students to be understanding, honorable, and studious. There are no staff members patrolling the campus because there is no reason to; the students at UHS display proper behavior. A school with academic excellence, with a welcoming environment, with a strong community of kind students, deserves no less than five stars. It is not just a school; it is our home.... Sophomore: I have really enjoyed my experience at Clovis North so far. There are plenty of opportunities for students on and off campus, its right across the street from Clovis Community College so there are plenty of opportunities to take dual enrollment classes. There are plenty of AP and Uni-track courses offered, as well as CTE and off campus CART classes on the CART campus. The counselors are amazing and the administrator team is amazing at working towards the best campus for students. Recently, there was a dedicated building made for Computer sciences, Robotics, and 3-D printing. During my time here there has never been a problem with school safety or hazards that were unresolved. Junior: Buchanan is a great High School. It is full of amazing opportunities and allows you to personalize your classes to what you are interested in. Buchanan. is home to its very own Energy Academy which teaches a variety of subjects from Computer Science, Engineering, and Robotics, to classes of Environmental Impacts and Sustainability. Along with amazing academics, Buchanan offers hundreds of extracurriculars including hundreds of clubs, and a sport for everyone. Speaking of sports, Buchanan houses many amazing teams that are State and Nationally Ranked including our Football, Boys and Wrestling, Girls Cross Country, and Track and Field. These teams and extracurriculars wouldn't be possible without the amazing staff we have here at Buchanan. The teachers truly care and have a close knit relationship with every one of the students. Parent: My mother who is 81 years old, my aunt and 3 uncles, 16 first cousins, 4 siblings, my spouse and I are all San Joaquin Memorial High school graduates and LOVE the place! We cannot say enough good things about this amazing college-preparatory school and we all continue to actively support it as alumni. Our eldest son is now a sophomore at the University of California at Berkeley and he loved SJM as well and had an excellent experience there. Alum: While Design Science Middle College High School is undoubtedly intensive and requires work, this school ensures that students get a valuable education and dedicates time to getting students into college. The workload is manageable and the staff at this school genuinely cares for the students. They go out of their way to prep students for college regarding work, environment, registering for classes, and paying for their education. Middle School Student: Granite Ride has many teachers that are all very nice and help you get ready for high school.The education are hands on and very advanced and challenging.My teachers are super nice and connect to my parents through email.The fallacies are very clean and Clovis North connected makes it very reliable.The food options are great with nice clean environment.The sports teams are super good and are rarely defeated.I recommend you to attend this amazing intermediate school.... Sophomore: I was looking forward to high school (Buchanan) because the middle school seemed a little bit like a funnel, but you can't fault the school that much because I had just come from a Middle school in MA where my class was 99 kids, and here at Alta, my class was 742 kids. That's a lot of kids at the school, and so it is easy to feel like a number. However, the administration and teachers do their best to remember everyone's names and activities to prevent this, and are largely successful! Alum: The change from elementary school to middle school is hard for a many students, but the transition to Clark was seamless. The instructors were all helpful, friendly, and easy to understand. Parent: This school has amazing teachers... My son has done excelled at bud rank and I thank their staff for that. The culture is great and the kids have their head in their shoulders. They do lots of fun activities and had on stuff with animals. I'm so happy my son goes here, I have no complaints. Niche User: I was at this Elementary School for K-6 grades and the best part about it was the teachers. The teachers were always so nice and they really helped me with my academics. Alum: I loved Riverview! It was a great Elementary School. The teachers and staff were . The food was ok, and activities & sports intense but great. I feel I was not prepared for intermediate school however with my reading and writing skills. I was not taught cursive or good computer typing skills. In 3rd & 6th grade I had to defend myself against boys touching me inappropriately and got in trouble for it. We need to teach kids especially girls that if guys gang up or come after you that it’s ok to defend yourself.... Read 1 review
