Wind River High School
#1 Best Public High Schools in Fremont County
- Fremont County School District No. 6, WY
- Rating 4.17 out of 5 6 reviews
Senior: It is a school that allows for high school students to take more classes that actually apply to their life after high school. For example, one class is the senior capstone, it is a class that allows for seniors to pick a career they think they are interested in and to be able to research, set up internships, and overall explore that particular career. Something Wind River could do better at is to allow kids to have a work release so that instead of sitting there wasting time in some classes they could be working or doing something that will allow them to become more motivated.

Riverton High School
- Fremont County School District No. 25, WY
- Rating 3.92 out of 5 66 reviews
Alum: Riverton High School was just like every other High School. It has its ups and downs, its pros and cons. But overall, they are a close community that cares about its students, as long as you put forth the effort to succeed. I was able to earn over 40 college credits while in Riverton, and am so happy I had that opportunity. Though there are many issues with any school, Riverton was one that controlled those issues by having programs set up to help Native American students succeed in High School, and go on to college. They also had on site Student Resource Officers (SRO's) who were very helpful to the students and the staff. Though I hold grudges about this school, they helped me succeed and go to college, as well as kept all students safe while on campus.

Wyoming Indian High School
- Fremont County School District No. 14, WY
- Rating 5 out of 5 2 reviews
Senior: The past four years here have been amazing. The kids are great and so are the teachers. I was blessed to have the opportunity not only be a student here but also a athlete. The sports here are competitive and fun. I have been an honor roll student, academic all-state recipient and a member of the State Cross Country Champion Team. The facuilty has helped me become a mature young adult ready for what's next. I appreciated this school has had to offer for me. If there was one thing I would change is the student involvement. Our school is home to the Native Americans who grew up on the Wind River Indian Reservation. It has about 140 students this year and not a lot of student involvment. I think it was a fun four years here and I'm excited for college.
