Sophomore: I am currently a sophomore at DA. I have been here for about a month and a half now, and I absolutely love it! What sets DA apart from other boarding schools is its wonderful community, and almost everyone here is very friendly and welcoming. I am an international student from India, and yet I found it very easy to settle in here and make friends. The facilities here are amazing and all the teachers are very warm and supportive. Classes are extremely fun and interesting, and although challenging, the workload is not very high. There is a good balance between academics, cocurriculars, and social life, and there are many opportunities for clubs and other activities. The financial aid is very good, and most school trips/outings are free. The school also provides financial aid for music lessons, study abroad trips, etc. I genuinely don't have many bad things to say about the school. Alum: My cousins and sister attended Northfield Mount Hermon. Visiting them and hearing about their experiences, I'd dreamed of attending the school myself. When I was admitted, I was thrilled! The four years I spent at NMH were everything I hoped for and more. Academically, I was challenged and rewarded. Socially, I was awakened and embraced. Personally, I was impacted forever. The friends I made here are the deepest I have, almost 20 years later. I am eternally grateful that I was able to spend such formative years at such an incredible institution. Senior: Attending SBS was one of the best decisions I have ever made! The teachers are incredibly supportive and always go out of their way to help their students. They never allow a single student to leave class without 100% clarity on a topic or a lack of details on future assignments. What truly made me choose SBS was the equestrian program! It is like no other! The barn staff are so nice, and the riding community could not be better. With the BHS program, you learn all about the fundamentals of horse care which is incredibly important as you move up the levels in the industry! The knowledge on the actual physiology of your horse transitions seamlessly into your riding. The program is very one-on-one and highly detail-oriented, so you grow not just as a rider, but also as a person. Junior: My experience at Frontier Regional school has been a great part of my everyday life, Not only is it a safe environment for everyone but it makes students feel comfortable to express themselves in any shape or form. At Frontier regional school, you can talk to a teacher as if they are your best friend. At Frontier regional school you can express yourself in all different kind of extra curricular that are students lead. For example LGBTQ+ club or even the Spanish club. Although the majority of my experience at Frontier Regional School has been good, there is one slight problem with the school. The attention payed to nutrition in our meals, 2/3 students in Frontier Regional School are Athletes. As most students are Athletes, there should be more food on our plate for the recommended calories one should be eating and better and healthier options. Sophomore: I think it's an amazing school that shows exemplary resilience considering the area it's placed in, I truly cannot imagine a better situation for my Education than Four Rivers. The school truly reflects the values it teaches in practice daily and it is an example in this country of what can be done in broken systems to produce intelligent students who are well rounded and ultimately kind and deeply considerate and aware of the world around them. Senior: The sports at Mohawk are very fun and is like a second family to me. They are the highlight of my years at Mohawk. The coaches are all amazing. The worst parts of Mohawk are the kids that don't want to be there, and ruin school for everyone else. They skip class and get privileges taken away from everyone. Sophomore: I have really liked Pioneer so far. Ignore everyone that said "lots of drugs here" because honestly that's false, that's just students trying to be funny. Overall I think Pioneer has a very community- like feel! There are no cliques really, no "popular kids," "mean kids" thing. All the teachers are super nice, and pretty much all of them try their hardest. PV may have had some struggles in the near past, but it's looking up. I feel that I learn a lot here, and I really like it here:) The only negative thing I can think of right now is since we don't have tons of students, the sports can be a bit lacking. Alum: Mahar was an overall good high school experience. I feel the main issue with the school was more technological areas. Covid changed the way the school functioned and most of my junior and senior year was online. Alum: Franklin county technical school was a home for me. The staff were amazing and always around ready to help, as well as all the shop teachers that were ready to teach the students shop lessons and life lessons. I was a student athletes where I wrestled and played football here. The coaching staff for both sports were amazing. I learned more from the sports and coaches then from anything else in life. I still am in contact with those coaches as they have became family after graduation. They are always willing to help and provide insight and advice. The facility is secluded and has very nice outdoor landscaping that is always up to date. The inside of the school is very clean and easy to follow where you need to go. The cafeteria is new and very nice. I’ve heard from current students that the school has gotten a lot better since I left which is great because it was already awesome when I was there! Parent: i love the school . my 2 older boys went there and they loved it and had no problem and when my younger son was struggling with reading they were there for him every step of the way .my 5 yr old daughter goes nowand is loving it and her teachers.the school always has shows and events that involve families and for thankgiving the have a feast and for the end of school year they have a school bbq and a dj its an awesome school and would recommend it to any parent.....
