Senior: Seven Lakes Highschool is a wonderful school to go to! The Fine Art Department is great in every category. The Orchestra does amazing, the band does amazing, the choir does amazing, the theater department is super cool! It's great to express yourself there. The education is good too. Most teachers are good and nice. Some teachers are absolutely amazing and will go beyond. The athletic department does great except in football but we'll get there one day. Senior: Overall a great school! Our motto is "make it a great day to be a falcon," meaning make everyday worthwhile. Embrace the small achievements everyday, and strive for excellence everyday. Which is what most of the days at Tompkins feel like. The teachers are great and they care about their students and their success, so if you ever struggling and need help ask you teacher, they will most likely be willing to work with you to get better. As much as the school is academically strong it is also really strong in sports. With almost every sport making districts and state. The academic competition is very strong here, and you have to work pretty hard to get good grades, but if you are struggling the staff and even students are willing to help. Sophomore: I love Clements High School and enjoyed my freshman year a lot. There are so many amazing things about the school including its kind and caring teachers and administration and the thoughtful students. The facilities like the gyms, tennis courts, commons, and football field are all very well taken care of. The school spirit of everyone on campus is outstanding! One of the only negatives that come to mind is the pressure on the students with their academics. The environment, though cheerful with all the friendships, is very competitive. I would wish that homework would not be as intense, or scheduling for tests and quizzes could be communicated between departments so that there isn't the pressure of studying for three tests that fall all on the same day. Senior: I really liked the school's teachers and environment. Everyone is very nice and the teachers I met are understanding and engaged in their student's studies. My teachers on many occasions pay attention to what I'm doing and how I'm faring in the classroom and on most days can be seen with an upbeat attitude. The school is mildly competitive but compared to other schools in the area it isn't so bad competition wise. The kids are still very nice to each other and academics isn't too much of a strong focus but enough to make sure we all strive to do well for colleges and our life beyond high school. I've met many diverse people in the school both culture wise and personality wise. Senior: The teachers were very good when I went there. I felt held to a high standard that I feel other schools at the time did not deliver. The afterschool clubs were diverse and student led with staff sponsors. It also had very fun holiday activitys. Such as the monster mash, I still dont think that experience can be beat. Parent: We are just arriving from Mexico and my son was in the middle of 2th grade and his English was not perfect but their teachers always do the best for him to catch up with his classmates. Also this school has teachers that are specialists in foreign lenguajes and gives special support to kids as my son. Their teachers also promote the good relationship between all the kids in their groups. The facilities are excellent, it encourage the right atmosphere for learning. All the staff was always very dispose to help with every question and there where allot from my side, because it is very different as I was used to back in Mexico. All the extra activities they do for parents and kids was very organized and amusement. Parent: My 2 children love the school. We have 2 years there and one of the things that surprised us the most is how close-knit the community is. It is a bilingual school and in that sense it is the best in the state. Culturally it is incredible because there are kids from all over. Academically it is demanding and the teachers, although they are very nice, are committed to the children's real learning. Kindness is one thing that will find in that school everywhere. They promote values, family and the kids got to be themselves. There is a lot of different extra activities depending in what the kids likes, from music to art and science. Parent: Our family absolutely LOVES Tom Wilson Elementary! The namesake, Tom Wilson, makes regular appearances, along with his wife, at many of the special activities and also to work with students during the school day. Both of my children need extra attention from their teachers due to their learning disabilities. The teachers have been very flexible and helpful both academically and socially. The administration is fair and respectful to all students, staff, and parents. Junior: My high school experience at Dulles has been an enjoyable experience thus far. I went into my freshman year with little to no friends and bearing significant anxiety. We had just gotten out of quarantine post Covid and I was frightened at the idea of going back into a school environment. However, I made some amazing friends, as well as rekindling old friendships. The teacher's were kind and understanding, while challenging my mind. That's not to say I didn't have my troubles. There was drama in friendship, boys, and certain teachers. However, it taught me to speak my mind, focus on school, and keep my friendships genuine. My sophomore year was the best. I had fun, spent time with friends, I loved my classes and the people in it, and I felt challenged in my classes while being able to expand my mind and grow in each class. Senior: Most of the teachers are pretty good; however, there are still a few that can ruin a student's experience. Everyone here is still really happy, and there isn't much stress when in regards to competition or club activities. This school is still able to produce multiple MIT and Ivy league students per year, meaning that it is by no means a bad school either in terms of academics. The clubs here are amazing. This is such a diverse school with so many people from so many different backgrounds located in one of the most diverse counties in the nation; thus, this school comes with a lot f clubs and has an amazing school culture of collaboration.
