Senior: I’m so grateful to have spent 12 great years at Sandusky Central Catholic, and to have experienced a close family-like community. I’m lucky to have grown up with a Catholic education, and to learn things many people my age don’t have the opportunity of learning at their school. The best parts of my experience at Smcc was playing volleyball, and meeting people that I know will be life-long friends. The worst part was how small my school is. It was nice having a really close class, but the downside was having a limited amount of friends. Alum: I had a great experience as a child growing up and attending Milan Elementary School. The teachers and other staff members were great and very helpful to all of the students. We always put on plays at the school, musical concerts multiple times a year, and always had a bookfair multiple times a year as well. That was always my favorite part. My daughter will attend Edison Elementary (as the school is now named) in a few years when she will start Pre-school and so will my second child when their ready to attend school. Senior: I really enjoy attending Huron High School. In Huron I started out my education in Firelands Montessori Academy, was homeschooled for one year after that, moved into McCormick Middle School and from there transitioned to Huron High School. The people there are all very nice and inclusive. The best part of my high school years have been my peers and teachers. They make school enjoyable even sometimes when the workload is intensive. The worst part of my high school experience would have to be the bathroom cleanliness and the cafeteria food. I would want to see tampons and pads accessible in all bathrooms at Huron and a generally more clean bathroom space. In addition, I would want to see the cafeteria food be a better quality.... Senior: Overall I have had a great high school experience up to this point. I have made many memories that I will never forget about. From pep rallies for the homecoming football games to the study break outs in English class, it has been great. I have learned so many valuable skills from some amazing teachers. I have built relationships with my teachers that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I played soccer for my high school and it is extremely difficult being a student and an athlete. Senior: Sandusky High School has giving me lots of opportunities that I never thought I would be a part of. They have lots of art and music programs and they help a lot with what you want to do with your future. I have been involved in Marching Band, Orchestra, A Capella Choir and I am in the Great Lakes Performing and Visual Art Academy which gives you the chance to perform dance routines, display your artwork in student ran art galleries, sing in front of audiences and perform instrumental pieces. Middle School Student: I am a middle school student and have been here my whole life. I love Margaretta. As a middle schooler I think I am pretty ready for college as much as a middle schooler can get. Are school has amazing school spirit from cheering on our football team too cheering on any sport. Are sports are amazing people show up and it's a blast from the time you get there from the time you leave. We also have very fun activities like band, choir, FFA, anything you can possibly think of. Also we have fun stuff after school to like sports, dances, pep rallies, and so much more. Also there is a group of families who host a non denominational group called Epic anyone can go and it is super fun and you get donuts the first Wednesday of every month. Senior: I have been attending Ehove Career Center since I was in 9th grade. The teachers here are wonderful and care to help those who are failing. I have had rough years through that school, but could not thank the teachers enough for their help. I started through the Exploration Careers which allows you to be in a career class for a couple months. It helped me choose my future career. I am currently in the Medical Careers. I have studied hard through my years also taking on CCP classes. I also have attended BGSU Firelands for the CCP classes which was an amazing experience. I original go to Margaretta High Schools but wanted to become something big. A Nurse Practitioner which is around 7 years in College. So to get an early start my best choice was Ehove. Parent: As the parent of a graduating senior I am so thankful to have found Townsend for my daughter. McKenna began struggling with anxiety and depression her junior year. A knee accident made those symptoms worse and school became more of a struggle. Townsend teachers really worked with McKenna to get her to earn the needed credits for graduation. She was even able to take advantage of CCP courses and earn 18 credits that will transfer to college. Medications for those impairments take so long to begin working and many times those medications may not even work making it necessary to try new ones. Going through all of the trials of new medications was not a nice fit with trying to navigate through High School. Townsend gave McKenna time to concentrate on school work while at the same time work towards becoming healthy and happy again. I am so proud of my daughter.
