Senior: Kingsford High School is the biggest school in our district; hence, the biggest diversity. I love the variety of groups I get to interact with, along with the overall friendly atmosphere. There are many clubs and sports to affiliate with, which opens doors to new friendships, team bonding, and academic experiences. The teachers are generally easy to communicate with so that their students are successful.

Iron Mountain High School
- Iron Mountain Public Schools, MI
- Rating 4 out of 5 36 reviews
Senior: Iron Mountain High School is a great place to be a high school student. We have experienced teachers and small class sizes so you get individual attention. We have band, pep band, marching band, jazz band, chorus, art, all levels of math, science, history, English, dual enrollment with Bay College, and two hour block classes at the area vocational/tech center including auto body, welding, graphic communications, and health occupations. We have sports including football, volleyball, soccer, golf, basketball, track, wrestling, tennis, bowling, and softball. There are opportunities for competition in academics with a Quiz Bowl team and robotics. Our small student body size results in what we call the “Mountaineer family”. Past graduates include NFL network analyst Steve Mariucci, MSU basketball coach Tom Izzo, Wendy’s restaurant CEO Todd Penegore, and Chicago stock exchange CFO Tim Metzler, to name a few. Iron Mountain schools are truly the place to succeed!

Senior: Norway High school is a great school. The staff and the students are great. The school loves their sports team and makes sure that every student that wants to go to college is ready and able too. The staff makes sure that kid is doing well in their classes and if they are having problems outside of class they try to help. The community does everything they can to support the school, from being on the school board to just coming out to support the sports teams.

Gwinn Middle/High School
- Gwinn Area Community Schools, MI
- Rating 3.54 out of 5 78 reviews
Senior: I enjoy school, it's one of my favorite things to do, however, I wish that my teachers were more willing to be helpful. I understand that it is high school, and I am a senior and that there is a global and catastrophic pandemic going on, but that doesn't mean my teachers shouldn't be willing to do what they are supposed to do and help out struggling students more willingly. On the positive side of things, Gwinn Middle/High School has a fabulous lunchtime/cafeteria area, an amazing and very productive drama club, and theater persona, a very fun woodshop class, an amazing choir production, a strong band presence, a very cool digital design class, a welding shop, and so many more very amazing and intriguing array of classes and extracurricular activities.

Senior: This is an amazing school considering that it's an alternative school. If this is the last option don't be afraid to go with it. The teachers are astounding and are willing to help with about anything. I say it's better than a regular school. You have way more options and a better chance at graduating early. If I could, I would recommend this school to every student in the area that is struggling.
Thank you, Saedra.
