Parent: I could not imagine a better school for my son! This is truly a school where the faculty and staff cares about EVERY boy. Not just the star students who frankly could and would do well at any school in the area. Where US stands apart is the B or C students. The faculty and staff pour their hearts and souls into these "middle of the pack" and even "high potential/under-performing" boys. My son has gone through an amazing transformation at this school. He likely would have been lost at a public or another private school.

Versailles High School
1 Best Public High Schools in Darke County
- Versailles Exempted Village School District, OH
Senior: I am proud to consider Versailles, OH my hometown. However, I am more ecstatic to say I will be graduating from Versailles High School. As a senior, I have dealt with many high school teachers and I will not hesitate to say that each one shows concern and support. The teachers see potential in students and prepare them for not only college, but also for life after school. Even though Versailles encourages students to join clubs and athletic teams to get more involved with the school and community, I would change the way VHS welcomes new students. Versailles students have been together since grade school, so sometimes-new faces can be overwhelming. There are students that will step out and make new students feel welcome, but it is not easy to convince the entire high school to do the same. Overall, Versailles High School has been a great place to go to school. Considering all the support from teachers, coaches, staff and classmates, I would not have wanted to attend anywhere else.

Arcanum High School
2 Best Public High Schools in Darke County
- Arcanum-Butler Local School District, OH
Senior: Overall, I have enjoyed my time at Arcanum. The teachers, and administrators are great, and always helpful. Also, I have enjoyed my time with sports and clubs. However, if you want to be really involved in a club, students must ask what there is to do otherwise they may not do anything but go to meetings to hear the latest update. The safety and school culture are very calm and collective. Arcanum actually just got a police officer to walk around the school during the day to make sure everything goes smoothly, even though nothing ever happens. One thing that I wish could be improved at Arcanum is how prepared the students are for college. The students do not get many chances to go out and find the kind of career that they want to pursue. Other than that, they do prepare students for college by informing them about scholarships, due dates, and they have some spokesmen come to talk about specific colleges.

Tri-Village High School

Niche User: At Tri-Village High School I was a basketball player from 7th grade until I graduated, I can say that after spending 6 years in the basketball program there that you will never find a community as loving and caring as that one. My junior year of high school one of the boys on the basketball team his brother was diagnosed with a rare cancer and did not have the funding for treatment the community raised more than $100,000 to support the family and get him the treatment he needed. If I could do it all over again I would defiantly choose this school again.

Mississinawa Valley Junior/Senior High School
- Mississinawa Valley Local School District, OH
High School Senior: Mississinawa Valley is a great school where the students and parents are dedicated to education. However, the school does not have a large variety of class options and is quite small. This year is showing some positive aspects of change. New staff have allowed many different opportunities and learning experiences, and the overall school spirit has improved.

Franklin Monroe High School
- Franklin Monroe Local School District, OH
Senior: My experience with Monroe High School has been pretty good the past couple of years, the teachers are very involved with their students. The only thing I would change is that they haven't really helped me be prepared for College, I've done all my college research on my own. Our Guidance Councelor's aren't as involved than they should be. The only time they are there to help is if you ask them, I honestly think everyone grades 11 and 12 should have monthly/bimonthly meetings with them just so they have a clue what our plans for the future are and can help us out.

Greenville Senior High School
- Greenville City School District, OH
Senior: My experience at Greenville Senior High School was one that will always have an impact on my life. I've made friendships that will last forever, grew relationships with teachers that I'll always remember, and learned so much. Greenville Senior High School is a great place to learn, play, and grow. The school is filled with great organizations, people, and learning tools.
One aspect that I feel needs work at Greenville Senior High School would have to be student involvement in the community. The high school puts on a handful of community service events for students in different clubs, but I feel that more could be done in the community. I loved my time in the Greenville school system and had a hard time thinking of things to improve in the system. I will never forget the memories made in my high school years.

Bradford High School
- Bradford Exempted Village School District, OH
High School Junior: My school is very, very small. I've been with the same people since kindergarten. It's preschool through 12th grade, so everyone knows everyone. This is not a bad thing, in my opinion. Small schools allow teachers to really get to know their students and care about their success in and out of the classroom.
What I really like about my school is the teachers' willingness to listen to your ideas and that the faculty actually try to make things happen, instead of just brushing students' ideas off. I like my school well enough, it's certainly not the worst around. If I had to choose a school in the area to go to, I would choose Bradford again. It's not so bad.
