Lockwood High School
- Lockwood R-I School District, MO
Senior: I have had an excellent time here at Lockwood High School. The teachers and the coaches really get you prepared for the bigger pictures in life. The teachers get you prepared to go out and get a degree in the career path you want. The coaches get you ready to be a good man, husband, coworker, father, etc. The coaches and teachers go hand and hand with each other. Some of our teachers are coaches and they take a personal interest in all students, not just athletes. The students here are great, it reflects our high of standers we have to meet everyday. that is thanks to our teachers and coaches. The school is small but we get a lot of community support for little we are. The parents help all the time, doesn't matter what it is. If the school needs help, they're there.

Alum: I liked the individual attention between the small number of students and staff. Everyone knew everyone, and our counselor, Mrs. Cross, helped many of us students apply for college and scholarships.

Greenfield High School

Senior: Greenfield High School is a very good school. From sports to clubs, everyone is supportive of each other. I have learned a lot in my time here. And I believe I am prepared for college through the upper level classes I have taken. Teachers are very nice, and they care about their job. As I have gotten older a lot of teachers have come and gone, but all have influenced me in some way.

Parent: Community School has been the best possible choice for our family. We could not be happier. Every morning, Head of School, Bob Cooke, greets each child with a handshake as they enter school. I love this tradition, as it truly exemplifies the nurturing aspect of the school. In this simple gesture, each child is recognized daily as a respected and important individual within the entire community – my children are known by all the children, teachers, and administrators throughout the school. The academics are fantastic, and the learning extends so much further than the classroom. My favorite part of the curriculum is the emphasis on public speaking. It’s amazing to hear the nursery students (age 3!) confidently share their birthdays to the entire lunch room during their birthday months. For dual-working families, like mine, the options for extended day and after-school programs are abundant and appreciated. Community School gets my vote as the top elementary school in St. Louis.
