Senior: My experience at Clarke Country High School has been interesting to say the least. Clarke Country has its perks from the amazing people, to some amazing teachers. The academics at Clarke can range from pretty good to pretty decent, depending on what teacher you end up with. The curriculum, depending on whether you decide to go down the regular or honors/ib path, can be quite tricky. Clarke is pretty diverse with people coming in from all different backgrounds from different areas. The school itself is pretty small, which makes finding classes and making friends quite easy. Each department is pretty well funded and are treated equally. The atmosphere at Clarke can range from happy to pretty stressful depending on the day. Overall Clarke is a safe and diverse school. It could use a few touch ups here and there, but overall the staff, administration, safety, and resources they offer are pretty decent.... Read 66 reviews

Junior: JWMS was a good school to attend. Yes like every school it has it’s issues, I mean some of the teachers still treated us as if we were in preschool. Although for the most part they were very creative and came up with fun teaching skills to challenge the students. Administration was very nice and was good with making sure everything in the school went smoothly and was clean and ready each day.... Read 1 review

Parent: I graduated from Powhatan in 1996, and now my son attends. Powhatan is top notch in every way. The academics are far more advanced than other nearby options. My son loves the NEAL (Nature Enhanced Approach to Learning) curriculum; Powhatan’s campus is over 120 acres, so students at all grade levels spend a large percentage of their time outside! Several teachers have been there 20+ years, and others have received state level top awards. I believe I wouldn’t have been as successful in life had it not been for Powhatan.
