Alum: Your typical small town school. Athletics are mid, but academics are taken very seriously. Would have liked more college preparation. Serves a very large community from Stevens Pass to Lake Wenatchee to Dryden, WA. As a result, the student body is very much so dichotomous; the artsy kids from the west side versus the grounded, country folks that grew up here and have called Lev our home for years. Niche User: I was an employee of Alpine Lakes for 13 years in a certificated support position. This gave me the opportunity to see how teachers, paraeducators, administration, and all other staff worked with and interacted with students. I was continuously impressed with how dedicated the teaching staff was to making sure each student was challenged to excel, and students who struggled were afforded numerous opportunities to get help and support. It wasn't just about academics, but the social emotional component of students was well addressed. Before state mandates regarding anti-bullying curriculum, weekly lessons were already implemented. Alum: High school was very surreal. For a long time I didn't realize that high school was only one chapter of my life, but when I was in high school I was living everyday to the fullest. I did not want high school to end. The high school experience is what makes us who we are. For the most part I saw kids develop skills to help them in everyday life. At least I developed skills that have made me a successful student and person. The staff and students became a second home. a place I could call home away from home. The school was trying to help the kids. They wanted us to be successful. It wasn't a situation where they leave us to figure it out but instead they helped. From the first day of freshman year until the day of graduation they were cheering you own. I truly believe it takes a village to take care of a kid and for me the school was my village. Senior: I think that my time at Cashmere was an overall pleasant experience. It is a sports-centric school and is competitive. This deterred me from playing sports. It is a small school with small classes. There is also a lot of opportunities with internships and community service that are easy to access. There is a very large lack of diversity because of the location of Cashmere. Alum: I went to that middle school and it was a great school. The staff is amazing and the principles are so nice and inclusive, they always chat with you in the hallways and make you feel welcomed at the school. I do wish that the school could be a bit more diverse, because I feel like it would help people be more open to others and less naive. Parent: Our kids have been at the River Academy for five years now. We have absolutely loved it! The teachers and staff have all been so loving and supportive. It feels like a big family at the River Academy. When our family was going through difficult times the school came along side us, loved us, prayed with us and for us and gave extra love and attention to our kids. Senior: I enjoy being a student at WHS, especially being in the AP classes. The teachers who teach AP classes have all be the most awesome teachers I've ever had! The sports environment has always been awesome, and other sports are supportive of each other. The coaches are usually teachers as well, so there are always friendly faces all around the high school. Junior: I'm currently a Junior at the high school and my experience has been pretty alright. The school itself is quite small,but that's really nice since you don't have to worry about the insanely crowded hallways. The only downsides is that not as many fun things are offered here at Entiat that I've seen offered elsewhere. Spirit week isn't as fun as other high schools I've been, not much school spirit from students and that really doesn't help. Most of the teachers are quite pleasant, though there are a few that tend to have favoritism way too much which I believe is wrong. There are some students willing to help others, but as with any school there are those who see themselves as above everyone else. Despite these things, for it's size, Entiat is really quite an amazing school and I'm happy to attend it.... Read 22 reviews

Niche User: Teachers give their students undivided attention. The staff truly cares about the success of the students. When I was a sophomore and going through some difficult times, many of my teachers reached out to me and helped me get on track academically, which resulted in some relief of emotional stress. The trimester system also provides great options for students of all varieties. Students who have shown independence and passion for a subject are allowed more freedom to pursue other endeavors, like internships and project based learning.
