Senior: West Nottingham Academy was my first boarding school and I have to say, I had a really good experience! I made friends really fast and everyone is so nice. They have you take classes for college readiness as a freshman, preparing for it and I think that is really smart. The classes are also small, so no one gets left behind. Senior: I've been going here for 2 years, starting in Junior year, and I'll be graduating this spring. The school has exceptionally supportive staff members. They all care about us, and want to see us be the best we can be. Speaking as a student, there are some aspects that I would like to see change, but they are very minor things, such as adding art class back into the list of high school extra-curriculars. I have been involved in drama, choir, volleyball, cheerleading, softball, debate team, and teachers-aid at school, and I've had amazing experiences on stage, made memories on the field/court and at debate meets that I'll never forget, and made connections with elementary students that have really opened my eyes to how amazing and creative little kids can be. Sophomore: My experience at Elkton High School has been an experience that will never be forgotten. A lot of people do not know about Elkton High School, it is a small high school in the little town of Elkton. In Elkton you have friends that are basically family to you, and you know everyone at Elkton. That is what makes it truly special to some. On top of that the teachers care about the student at Elkton High School. They want to see you succeed as a student, and move on to accomplish other life goals you may have. Niche User: My child's grades have greatly improved in the short time she has been at this school. The teachers are very involved with the students and parents and are quick in returning phone call and emails. The methond of teaching at this school is a lot different than the school She attended before, which was Chesapeake City Elementary, in Chesapeake City MD. Senior: What I love about Rising Sun High School is the teachers. I’ve made so many good connections and learned so many things just because of the amazing teachers they have at Rising Sun High, I know sometimes it can be hard moving to a new place or even going into high school but Rising Sun is a very comforting small town. Lots of me and other students grew up together and now we’re graduating together! Crazy how time flies! Alum: I enjoyed my time at Perryville High School. My favorite part about that school is the way the students were to accepting of people who are unlike them. Yes, the school falls a little short on funding and the football team's ability to win a game (while I was there at least), but in the end I think the students' ability to connect and appreciate others is the most important. PHS had many disabled individuals, may it be physical or mental. Not once did I ever see any students treat them unkindly or any differently. The patience and understanding I viewed from kids aged 14-18 was astonishing, especially now that I am an adult and experiencing the way many treat others. I truly to believe that is Perryville High School's greatest charm, and prepares students for all the diversity that is in the world.
