Senior: When I first moved to Red Lodge I was struck with the welcoming community I have ever been a part of. Not only were the teachers accommodating to my learning disability (dyslexia), but the students were also so encouraging and involved. The best part of high school was being a part of all the sports teams. Learning how to work with others, and experiencing success and failure pushed me to become a better person, teammate, and friend. Even in times of turbulence, when I was troubled by social pressures, depression, and anxiety, I knew I could always turn to my teachers and classmates for advice. The only qualm that I have with Red Lodge High School is the exclusion of people who do not participate in athletics. Even though I participate in sports year-round, some classmates have expressed to me that they feel unheard because the only clubs available for them are band, choir, and Speech and Drama. Senior: Joliet High School is a small rural school with a 12:1 student teacher ratio. This provides an opportunity for academic success. I have a wide variety of classes and extra-curricular activities available to me to participate. I have been able to experience FFA, MBI, and student planning groups. My school was recognized for outstanding leadership success by earning the Aim Higher MHSA award. Joliet High School was also recognized by US News Best High Schools and ranked 43rd in Montana. Freshman: School is never easy, but JJC tries to make your student life as easy as possible. The teachers are very understanding and helpful. Also, it's not as expensive as usual universities! Parent: Belfry HS provides an outstanding educational and social experience for school kids in Belfry. The class sizes are small and it has a private school feel. Senior: I believe Bridger is an amazing school. We are a little school but have the biggest hearts. Our school does focus a little to much on sports. I would love to see more recognition to academic success rather then just sports. My favorite thing about Bridger is the teacher. They are all very understanding about extra activities and home life. They have a bunch of wiggle room with late work and giving us extra time to study and prepare for tests. I love the school and I am glad this is the high school I get to graduate from....
