Alum: I liked Bishop McCort because they prepared for the next level of academics and athletics. The teachers and staff are very helpful to make sure you learn the most you can. Around the school, there is a lot of school spirit and everyone is kind and helpful. The student body itself is very supportive with athletics and the arts department. Senior: Overall Bishop Carroll has been an amazing school. For me faith is a huge aspect of my life and was one of the most important factors that led me to choose bishop carroll as a school. Bishop carroll not only allows students to grow in faith but also allow students to grow together. The past years at Bishop carroll allowed my academic knowledge to improve. However, it had its ups and downs like all schools, I wish bishop carroll was able to help students more personally and helping students target their own problems. Junior: I like the quality of education Richland gives as well as the opportunities I have. We have a good amount of AP classes that other schools in our area don't as well as very good teachers. We get a lot of mental health resources and we are offered programs that will help with our health. We also are given plenty of help in terms of career choices and college. Richland is also very clean and well kept. Every area of extracurriculars gets good funding. Some teachers aren't the best at their jobs. Their classes are a chore to sit through and I dread to be in them. The kids who go here aren't the best, but that's what you get in every school. No student body is perfect. I think Richland should let kids take a survey on their teachers every year. It will help the faculty understand what they are doing wrong and what the kids want from them. I personally was in a program that did a similar thing with their faculty, and I think it genuinely helped the quality of the staff.... Read 84 reviews

The administrators are all about the kids (from the elementary school up through the high school). They find ways to involve everyone and create so many fun ways for kids to connect with each other. Parent: I have several children who attend Westmont Hilltop. My childrens' needs have always been met; the teachers are compassionate and resourceful. The school climate is conducive to learning and the staff moral is excellent! The new football field sparked an added level of school spirit; I love that the community can use the track and that the kids can play on the field in the evenings and weekends. The district is working on building ties within the community with the #ourHomeontheHill theme. Senior: My experience at Cambria Heights Senior High School was full of learning, living and teaching moments. Everyday sticking to a schedule and taking classes that fit my intelligence level I was able to learn a lot not just about school but the people in my community. Throughout my four years of High School I was able to help others and myself. I grew up a lot since freshmen year. I used every resource I had to ensure my education was at its peak in order to prepare me for the college world I am about to enter. I participated in a wide variety of activities and took advantage of the clubs that were offered. I spent a few years tutoring as well, being a guide for those who were lost in a intellectual and emotional manner. Junior: On the outside looking in, you may think that Northern Cambria is just another random small town high school. You'd be right. However, there is a lot more to it than that. I truly do not think that I would be happy attending any other school in my area. The school just means so much to me. The teachers are amazing, there isn't any bullying, and every student knows each other. Not only that, but the athletics are fun to attend and are actually competitive compared to other high schools in the area. The teachers actually care about each and every student and will make sure that they leave high school with the knowledge that is needed in our modern world, and if you want, then you have the opportunities to leave the school with much more. Furthermore, I have not seen a single case of bullying in the almost 4 years I have been here. Every student here has a mutual respect for one another, which is something you have to love. Senior: Penn Cambria High School has very dedicated student faculty that wants to see young people succeed. They spend the time to interact with their students to assure understanding of the presented learning material. The faculty encourages growth not only mentally but physically as their coaching staff allows for student to participate in a wide variety of sports. One thing I would change about Penn Cambria is I would combine the many intermediate schools associated with Penn Cambria and build one school at one location. All the schools are spread out in the towns that surround the town of Cresson , PA where the High School is located. Alum: Throughout my time at Ferndale, I felt that there was inclusion with everybody and that everybody was given the opportunity to succeed. Overall, there is not much that I found unsatisfactory except for some aspect of college preparation. I think generally speaking that the material I learned prepared me, but I never had any sort of "practice" with studying and studying habits at a collegiate level. I think that as simple as it sounds, the fact that I have not had the experience of studying complicated material as I do now in college definitely proved to be a disadvantage moving on....
