Junior: The teachers are very supportive and always willing to sit down with you and review assignments or questions. Everyone can freely talk about their faith and every class is based on the Bible. Faculty are involved and care about each and every student. There are some people who only come to this school in order to play sports and be part of a good team, which can be frustrating. Our extra classes that are offered are very basic, yet we are allowed to take offered extras through online and public schools. I enjoy the small atmosphere as everyone knows everyone. As a junior, it always brings a smile to my face seeing the elementary students at recess or seeing the kindergarteners skipping down the hall. Sophomore: Aberdeen central high school is an okay school. From knowing some of the staff personally they don't get treated well especially new 1st year teachers. Most of the staff over all are good and helpful but their are some teachers where their entire job is to yell at kids, almost all teachers are helpful and are their to genuinely help students. The school day its self runs okay their could be more time at lunch. Over all the food at lunch is good with a verity if things to eat. Alum: When I graduated from Groton in 2017 there is not a single thing that I would have liked to change about the school district. However, in recent times the school seems to be going downhill. Niche User: I had a lot of fun attending May Overby Elementary. It prepared me for my higher education, and allowed me, an above average student, to flourish rather than hold me back with the other students. Senior: My experience at Warner has been great. The teachers really care about all of their students and they want each and every one to do their best and succeed. Academics may be more on the difficult side at Warner, but the teachers and staff are always willing to help. Senior: The school's small size allows for more personal relationships with the teachers, so if you're interested in a particular subject, it's a lot easier to have a conversation about it. The downside of this is that there aren't enough teachers to cover all of the required subjects competently, resulting in situations like the P.E. teacher teaching world history or the science teacher teaching American history. There also aren't a lot of opportunities for more specialized classes, but the school makes up for it with programs that allow students to either go to other schools for specific classes, or to take different classes online. The school is respectable in that administration is always trying their best, even if I don't agree with everything they do. Another positive is that the school is focused on practicality and college readiness.
