Senior: The school administration and staff try hard to give students a good learning environment and prepare them for life ahead. The only downside is how small of a community the school resides in. Senior: New Ulm High School is a great school and a nice environment to spend my 4 years of high school. I have really enjoyed attending sporting events and getting to cheer for my friends as well as representing my school and town. There is a wide variety of activities for all students at NUHS, including game club, intramural bean bags and basketball, yearbook, a very successful Knowledge Bowl team, a great theatre department, band, choir, and many opportunities for students who excel in construction or agriculture. NUHS is a safe place and we have awesome teachers who genuinely care about your learning. I also feel like NUHS has done a great job of preparing me for college and my future endeavors by having a wide variety of College in the Schools, AP, and Honors courses in almost every subject. Senior: The main change I would like to see is more diverse class options. I would have liked to have a zoology class because that would have been beneficial to me in figuring out if I wanted to major in that in college. Niche User: My high school was very small and it didn't have many electing classes or a lot of options for post secondary classes. It didn't offer any AP classes. But the teachers were concerned about their students and they always tried their best to help them out, and work out schedules that fit every students. We didn't have a lot of homework. Works Here: I enjoyed the curriculum available to the students and how it was a faith-based learning. The teachers knew how to adapt there way of teaching so that all kids were able to understand.
