Middle School Student: Al-Noor Academy is a beautiful and brilliant place to learn. If your looking for a school for your child to learn Islam, this is the perfect place. Al-Noor Academy offers many courses for such, like Islamic Sciences, Quranic Studies, and more. Additionally, the math, science, history, literature, and so many other courses are wonderful. The teachers care for each and every student to help them thrive in these rigorous classes. When you walk through the halls, you can sense the joy and happiness of the students and staff, similar to a bonded family. I have only been attending this school for 6 months in 8th grade, however I already feel at home and I've learned an unumerable amount of information in all subjects. Senior: There are positives and negatives. The administration lacks strong leadership and cohesion and there is a visible divide between good teachers and bad. Some departments (History) are extremely function and comprised of fantastic teachers, while others struggle to truly help students. Senior: As I Senior at the school, I can attest that Feehan is an amazing school and I highly recommend for those who want to pursue college. Before you even start freshman year, they have events to help you connect to other students. In addition, Feehan has enough clubs/sports to satisfy anyone’s interests. The school is great at emphasizing the importance of Catholic values and service to the community. Almost every club will be doing some type of service, and each student needs at least 60 hours of service to graduate. Feehan offers 4 levels of classes, besides AP, for each subject that all prepare students for college. The guidance I have received when applying to colleges has been spectacular. You are even required to take a semester SAT prep class during sophomore or junior year. The teachers are all wonderful at what they do and strive to help students achieve. Alum: Many great things could be said about this school, as well as not so great things. Some teachers you will find to be excellent (such as the mods teachers and many of the 7th grade teachers). Others you will find do not have a teaching style that works very well for you. The food is not good, but not a big surprise for a public school. I often found that staying after school for extra help was a very good option when confused or falling behind. I do wish that students who were known to misbehave would be punished in a better way because often I’d find that punishment was giving as group punishment and kids who behaved had privileges taken away after doing nothing. If you or your kid is going to QMS I would definitely recommend joining the musical or playing an instrument and a club such as Tri M or student council. Junior: Dartmouth High School has been an opportunity for me to build a family; a family of friendships. In the last three years I have bonded with a group of 8 girls who I am proud to call my best friends. It is because of the extensive activity options and over-emphasis on student-based participation that I collected my unblood-family members through sports including track, volleyball, and tennis and also clubs such as the Women's Empowerment Club and Political Science Club. The best part of high school for me has been finding my people, but that doesn't mean my experience has been picture perfect. I have found it difficult to connect with periods outside of my own little bubble. Senior: Despite covid taking two years away from my high school experience, I have had a fantastic time at Stang. Over the years, I have seen the diversity grow with each incoming class, making an overall more welcoming environment. The teachers are highly accommodating if you express your needs to them. I have never once felt that I couldn't reach out to my teachers if I needed help. The teachers will challenge your weak areas to shape a better student and a better member of society. Alum: Listen, every school has its issues, sure this school may hold you child to much higher standards than most, and there may or may not be a certain guidance counselor that needs to be fired, but this school is absolutely fantastic at achieving its goals. The test scores in this town would knock your socks off, I swear the median test scores here are better than the best test scores in some other towns. They are very accepting and diverse and have done so much to end typical teenage behaviours and create a safer atmosphere. The middle school is indeed far worse than the high school in this town, but compared to other towns, im just appauled to see it this far down on the list, I could throw some hard shade at half the schools above Easton on this list if I wanted to. Senior: Seekonk High School has been a place for me that has furthered my development both physically and mentally. I have been capable of meeting new people which has transpired into life-long friendships. Not only that, the classes that I have taken have fostered interests in every single subject. From talking about what motivated the start of the Spanish Armada in European history to figuring out the frequency of the 5th harmonic in physics, I have been exposed to the developments throughout time which made this possible for me and thousands of other students to absorb. Senior: I loved the support from everyone in the building that they give to all of the students. Whether it be the teachers, administration, or even the custodians, everyone wants to make sure that you feel like you belong at the school and have a place where you fit in. The teachers will go above and beyond for you if you put yourself out there and show an interest. There are many resources that help students figure out their interests and that will set them up for their future. The school system doesn’t push college, because they know it’s not the path for every student. However, for those students interested in attending college, there are many opportunities for them to be prepared for their future in a higher education.
