Senior: My experience with Lake Belton High School has been an experience, it wasn't the best but not bad either. I met so many people who are now my best friends, where I met my boyfriend of almost 2 years. The school itself isn't bad i love it! I love how it is structured I still get lost even after intending that school all 4 years of my high school life. The teachers are nice and will help you in any way. The people can be mean but you just have to find the right ones who will be there for you no matter what. Some bad experiences were fighting breaking out in the lunch room and the amount of things people will say any time and anywhere. Some changes i would say is a better prep rallys and better things for us seniors to do and make traditions. Overall my experiences at LBHS were good, i love my friends and the teacher bonds i have made. It's a good way to start off your high school life.... Read 16 reviews

Senior: I have gone to this school since I was in about Pk4. I have never gone to any other school except for this one so my review may be biased, however I will say that this school is pretty basic. I don't mean that in a negative way, rather I say "basic" because our school is still developing to fit the needs of its students. This fact is a positive! We used to have pretty basic and plain athletic facilities but our academics were amazing. I will say that we lack in our math department but in all other aspects, we do relatively well. Now that I am in my senior year, we have a full turf field and a field house with a full weight room and 2 locker rooms. Our school just got new portables as well to house our elementary students and we have installed a new playground. Right now we are in a state of renovation but we have an amazing learning program so it makes sense as to why more and more families enroll their children here every year.... Read 56 reviews

Parent: We have two students at Holy Trinity. They are both excelling academically and involved in clubs and sports. The Forensics team is amazing and very active! Also, the Theater program is very strong. Since it is a small school, anyone who wants to be on a spots team can join. I love that my kids get to try so many different activities and find the ones they are passionate about. While my children do well in their advanced classes, they are challenged and are not allowed to "coast". Their teachers push them to succeed and are available for one-on-one time, if needed. Communication is sometimes an issue. We aren't always given adequate information or notice from the office staff pertaining to activities or events, but it is improving. Alum: Holland has an amazing sense of community with some areas where it excels and others where it lacks a little bit. It is truly a "small town school" which has it's pros and cons. Everybody knows everybody, and student participation in extracurriculars is strongly encouraged. This school definitely shines in extracurriculars; it has great Band, UIL, FFA, and athletics departments. It lacks a little in aiding students who are behind, and there are some students who teachers just want to pass so they can graduate. Most teachers are very good, but there are some outliers that don't really teach at all. Overall, it's a school that is what the student makes of it. If you're a student with big goals who goes above and beyond, you can do tons of extracurriculars and get tons of leadership opportunities to fill out your resume pretty well here. Dual credit also helps with college readiness. If you're not though, you'll kinda just be pushed along to get mediocre passing grades and graduate.... Read 29 reviews

Senior: I was always told that High school would be the “best years of my life”. This led me to interpret that High school would be the most joyful, invigorating, and freeing years of my life but in all honesty my experience was anything but “the best”. There was pain, stress, and so much confusion that encapsulated me going into my freshman year and proceeding on from there. Though the aching that I endured was uncomfortable, it allowed me to expand and grow so exponentially in one season of life because I was not remaining confined to the walls of my comfort levels but rather being pushed beyond those limits I had unknowingly set. Although my High school journey doesn’t qualify as the best years of my life it does deserve credit for enabling me to see the beauty in suffering and the ultimate goodness that can come from tribulations.
