Alum: It was fun, so much support from the teachers and coaches! Playing sports was what really kept me going. I made such amazing friends throughout the years and sometimes I wish I could go back because of how fun it was. I have made relationships with the some of the best people ever and to this day we have a great relationship, it was very sad to go our separate ways after graduation.

Senior: after attending the same school from 2nd grade through 8th grade, we moved from Ohio to Texas and I started my first year in high school in a whole new state, whole new school and no friends. it was the best decision my parents made for me and my brother. The Texas school was far more advanced and offered a lot more opportunities. And they were and continue to be helpful and understanding with my younger brother has Autism and will have to continue without me next year.

Senior: During my time as a student at ZECLA, I have had the opportunity to flourish as an individual and develop a more knowledgeable understanding of the world around me. Whenever I first joined, I came from a low-income family and I did not see myself getting far in life. Although ZECLA has given me a head-start in life, since I will be graduating at the age of 17 years old with an associates degree in Liberal Arts, and I have great aspirations for the future. However, ZECLA does not offer any clubs, sports, or extracurricular activities other than NHS and Student Council. Our teachers are amazing and very helpful, but our office staff could use some work. I highly recommend this school to everyone because it is a great way to get further in life than regular high school students. Best of all, college classes and textbooks are free. A free college education and associate’s degree all at the age of 17/18!

Poteet High School
- Poteet Independent School District, TX
- Rating 3.31 out of 5 83 reviews
Senior: Poteet High School is a school unlike most others. The classrooms are filled with students who know the true value of hard work. A lot of students, like myself, come from a family of farmers who have lived on a farm their whole lives. We know what it likes to break a real sweat in record breaking Texas summers. What really makes Poteet unique is the small town community that supports the high school and its district. Our small town always has the students' backs no matter what it is. From footbsll gsmes underneath those bright lights to an fundraiser needed to help send students on a field trip. The loving and supporting community made up of family and friends is always showing their everlasting support for the school no matter the challenge. The small town vibe is what keeps the schools driving for success.
