Senior: I quite enjoyed my experience at Apollo-Ridge. While Apollo is a smaller school, it allows for more one-on-one learning with teachers. If you have an issue with a student or can't figure out a problem, you can always walk up to the teacher and ask for help. Even as your high school career continues through the ranks, your old teachers still remember you and will ask you how you are doing in the halls. Senior: Well I just graduated high school at Lenape tech as a allied health and sports medicine student. At Lenape I was involved in NHS where we were able to participate in activities. I was also in dance comity where we talked with others and worked as a team to plan, purchase, and make everything for the school formals. While doing those activities I was active in my technical program where we did medical terminology, worked in are labs and completed assignments base off the medical field. I loved Lenape for so many different reasons and wouldn’t change any of it for the world. I’m teachers were absolutely amazing and didn’t stop for anything to help us get everything we possibly could need to make us as successful as possible! Senior: I am currently a senior at Leechburg Area High School. Overall, my experience here has been good. This is the first year for a soccer team and I decided to join at the last minute. The coaches have been welcoming and are helping my team and I build the skills we need to grow as a team. I have played baseball in high school as well. This is a very small school which suits me well. I like the smaller size classes and how well the teachers get to know their students. There seems to be more one-on-one in this district than in the bigger schools my cousins go to. One thing I would like to see change is college readiness. Senior: As I’m approaching my final year at West Shamokin High School, I find myself looking back at my past experiences as a WSHS student. I was given many opportunities such as the student government, LEO club, etc. Being a part of something bigger than yourself is something that I have always admired. I enjoy investing my time in things that will leave a positive impact on my peers, and WSHS definitely gave me that opportunity. However, I was bullied. Yes, that’s a common factor in todays public school system, but it’s sad to think that other students have went through similar situations. If I could change one thing about WSHS, I would improve the school spirit and participation. My dream has always been to attend Penn State; the school with immense pride. To contrast, WSHS gave me a sense of dissatisfaction. I will treasure my time as a WSHS student, but I will always wish that my high school experience could have been more meaningful.... Senior: Armstrong Junior-Senior High School is new and beautiful. I Love the athletic fields and the opportunity for many sports. Our facilities in the school are modern and pop with blue and orange colors. We have two gyms and a large theatre. There are opportunities for many diverse clubs and extracurricular activities. The wings for music, chorus and band, and skilled shops are well designed. Our cafeterias both have entrances from the main lobby, making them convenient from all school areas. We have a broad faculty, including athletic trainers, coaches, nursing staff, security guards, and custodians. Our school is equipped with metal detectors and cameras in all areas, including the parking lots. I feel safe when I'm at school.... Read 39 reviews

Parent: Although I just my daughter's teacher, some of the other staff is lacking in their communion skills. I have called the school four times to speak with a certain staff member regarding and incident where my daughter was punched by a male student. This staff member never returned my calls, even after us placing calls and leaving messages for over a week. My daughter is 6 years old and should not be being attacked by another student. There was another incident that the staff was not able to relay any answers about. If incidents continue I will be pulling my daughter from this school.... Read 3 reviews
