Junior: Choosing to go to ACPA was probably then best decision of my high school career. I have been able to grow so much not only as a student but a human being. The diversity at ACPA exposed me to so many different people and has allowed me to have a further understanding and apperciation for the world around me. Acpa has provided me with every opportunity that I could wish for in a high school. The teachers and staff are probably my favorite part about the school. From each of my teachers I have seen not only a passion for teaching and their students, but also a passion for the subject they are teaching. This excitement only incited more excitement in me to learn from them!

School for Creative & Performance Arts High School
2 Best High Schools for the Arts in Ohio
- Cincinnati City School District, OH
- PK, K-12
Alum: I had an excellent experience at the School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA). My mother is an SCPA alum, so it was always my dream to follow in her footsteps and go there myself. During my six years at SCPA, I participated in four major musicals, honed my solo violin skills in private lessons, and performed with my orchestra at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
The school culture at SCPA is completely unique from any other school. SCPA students come from all walks of life - it is a place of diversity, creative self-expression, artistic development, and acceptance. Everyone fits in at SCPA - the typical high school idea of an "outcast" just does not seem to exist at SCPA. Everyone, no matter their quirks, interests, or hobbies, can find a group of like-minded individuals with which to bond. Artistic talent is developed along with rigorous academics, preparing SCPA graduates for pursuing college and career paths in the arts and beyond.

Toledo School for the Arts
3 Best High Schools for the Arts in Ohio

Alum: I went to TSA from the 03-04 school year until graduating in 2009.
I cannot say enough good things about TSA. I knew from the moment I walked in the doors at TSfA I belonged there.
All of my teachers actually cared about me and knew my name. I was never afraid to ask for questions or for help. While there were no "advanced" classes when I went there, there were many classes that challenged me academically.
Once I reached college I felt more than prepared for my coursework. In fact, I was mostly bored with college until my final two years, because of how well prepared I was, thanks to TSA.
It's a rare thing in a school for a senior in high school to know the names of almost all the 6th grade class. It's even more rare for the administration to know student's names.
I have come back many times, and while much has changed, much has also stayed the same.

Montessori High School
4 Best High Schools for the Arts in Ohio
- Private School
- Cleveland, OH
Parent: Truly a remarkable education. Two of my children attended. I can honestly say as one "behind the scenes" ( one of the involved parents), I saw the teachers' genuine, enthusiastic dedication to the development of each and every child's well-being. The Montessori method is not just for younger kids, and this high school is not an academic cakewalk or a free-for--all. It is a challenging and supportive place to transition into young adulthood. There is an International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, which, along with Montessori, is designed to produce thoughtful, knowledgeable global citizens. The students are accepting and warm. Best of all, the school takes advantage of being in the heart of University Circle, where the museums are considered a part of the school campus. The Museum of Art, History Center, Natural History Museum, Botanical Gardens and CWRU's library are all within a short walking distance. Check it out in person.
