He is in grad school now and his math and science foundation is very strong because of OSSM! Of course the coursework load is very tough at OSSM and the school is not for everyone. Senior: Casady School is not just an institution of education; it's a community. I know everyone in my grade by first and last name. I'm comfortable going up and asking any teacher (even the ones I haven't had!) a question. Each high school teacher actually specializes in what they teach- unlike most other schools. I can ask a teacher a question not about the coursework, but about the general field of study and they will have immense knowledge on it. I have not had a teacher that I didn't like at Casady. Ever. The coursework is definitely rigorous, but the teachers there are willing to sit down one on one and explain it with you. Although the sports aren't great, the coaches are encouraging, uplifting, and enjoy being with us. Alum: Cascia Hall is an extremely prestigious school where you can succeed in the classroom, field, or courts. Senior: As a current senior in Mercy School, I can say that I have enjoyed my experience at the school and have learned many things while being here. First things first, this school is an Islamic School and with that being said, you would have to be Muslim to attend the academic establishment. The school offers various tools such as Quran memorization, the Arabic language, and in-depth lessons on Shariah Law. The school is k-12, so there are children of all ages that attend the school. Students are respectful to school staff and to other students, making the overall atmosphere absolutely superb. The school offers a variety of different activities such as soccer teams for the lower grades and the National Honor Society for higher grades. I can personally say that I am thankful to my parents for putting me in this school due to the fact that it made me into the person I am today and has paved the path for a future to look forward to.... Senior: I have been going to Jenks Public School since I was in Pre-K and Jenks was there through my toughest times. Jenks High School has taught me many things to excel in life, from courses like Economics, Forensics, and AVID to the positive "Jenks spirit"! Jenks is also very active in the community including Jenks-owned food banks and programs to give children the opportunity to learn and read with free books which really helped during the COVID-19 pandemic. Overall, Jenks High School is more than just a campus, it's a part of our high school experience. Now does that mean my school is perfect? far from it, Jenks needs to work better on intergrading international students and recognizing diversity. As a child of immigrant parents, I have seen my African friends have to accommodate the American School system. This meant they would get held back in a core subject or information about school programs just wouldn't be provided to them. But, with my Trojan experience, I wouldn't change a thing.... Sophomore: So far, I think that Dove Science Academy High School is a school where us students get the opportunity to focus more on our future, academically, socially, and personally. This school mainly focuses on helping students graduate high school and strive for their future in college. I would recommend this school to anyone that would want to succeed in their college life or their future in general. Senior: At Memorial High School, a diversified as well as academically focused administration is prevalent. During my attendance of four years I had rarely seen instances of under satisfaction and rather more instances of academic challenge to promote critical thinking. Our school's fundraising campaign referred to as "Swine Week" is greatly regarded as our school spirit in which we raise hundred's of thousand's of dollars to contribute to a select foundation. Junior: Yes, we are "that school with a zoo," though more accurately, it is a barnyard. I've gone to Riverfield since I was 2 years old, so understandably it has become my second home. The teachers here genuinely care about every student, and the low teacher to student ratio makes it so that you form great relationships with your teachers. The community makes you feel safe and free to be yourself. Students are able to be apart of whatever extracurricular they'd like, whether that be debate, drama, tennis, basketball, rock band, student government, etc., and however many they'd like as every team and club is welcoming to beginners. When I first came in as a freshman I was overwhelmed by the amount of clubs and overall potential to be involved at the school regardless of demographics. Booker T. also has a fantastic marching band with insurmountable passion and character that draws students to the pep rallies and football games that they have to offer. This ultimately leads to a strong student body and involved parent volunteers. Additionally, in junior and senior years, Booker T. offers a vast multitude of IB (International Baccalaureate) classes that challenge students much to the same extent or perhaps even further than a college course. Senior: I came to Harding Charter Preparatory High School in 2019 as a freshman with no friends. I did not know what to expect, but I knew it would be a significant change from my previous school based on Harding's excellent academic reputation. I was quickly welcomed with open arms and taken under the wings of the teachers. I was not treated as just another student but felt a personal connection with everyone. Harding has been my home for the past four years, and I have loved every minute of it. The workload was sometimes intense, but it was all worth it and has paid off. Alum: Edmond North High School valued education above everything and that was something I loved about it. From the teachers to the students, everyone had your best interest in mind. Senior: How I would review my experience attending Stillwater High School is mostly positive. During my time at Stillwater High School, I have never had a teacher who I would consider to have harmed my learning. I would say from a student's perspective the school is adequate in every way. My favorite part of Stillwater High School is the Theater program offered there. Both the acting classes and extracurricular theater opportunities have a chance to put on productions for live audiences and I find this opportunity very rewarding. Senior: Bishop Kelley is a truly special place. I Transferred to Bishop Kelley to start Sophomore year. So, yes, I was at one point the "new girl." But I never felt like the new girl. Because of the amazing environment that BK is, I felt like I was just where I was supposed to be. Since being at Bishop Kelley the past three years, I've made my best friends, developed great relationships with teachers, administrators, and coaches. I wouldn't have wanted any other high school experience other than the one I got as being a Kelley Comet. Since going to school there, I've become well acquainted with Fr. Duy, our chaplain and priest. Father Duy guides students weekly to help the community sand give back. Senior: Norman North High School is a really good public school. The teachers take care of their students and assist them with anything they need. The school is well-kept and known for having one of the best orchestras, bands, and choirs in the state for high school. Since the school opened, the orchestra has earned the Sweepstakes award every year, which is an award given for participating in the annual state contest. The state contest is not competitive, however, judges will judge how well an orchestra plays by ranking one to four (one being the best and four being the worst). Other than the fine arts, the football team is put together well. The coaches look after the athletes and they do well against other teams. The school is diverse and has a multitude of classes, such as zoology, yoga, comp 1, anatomy, art, sociology, psychology, and even some AP classes. Junior: Mount St. Mary Catholic High School is a great place to find a home inside of a school. All of the students are very friendly and the smaller classes leave room for collaboration and individual teaching. The school does have a uniform, which can be beneficial for some students. They are also stricter on things such as phones and personal expression. Alum: As an alumni of Santa Fe, I can confidently say that my time there was nothing short of amazing. Senior: I have gone to Metro Christian Academy since kindergarten, and there is truly nothing like it! The teachers and administration are fantastic and have the students' best interests at heart. When all grades, from P-3 to 12th, are in the same building, a strong sense of community is built, and otherwise unlikely connections/friendships flourish. Not only are the academics unmatched, the athletics and extracurricular opportunities are also beyond compare of other private schools in the area.
