Senior: After switching from my old elementary school to this school, I found it to be a drastic change. There are different buildings for each category of students (elementary, middle, high) and they're not all that big, however, the intelligence and diversity of this school make up for it! I've made friends of many different cultures and I've never met so many people who are of the same culture as me. I take college classes in addition to my high school classes, and I'm even graduating a year early to get a headstart on college. This school is primarily A student, and 90% of the teachers actually care about their students and prioritize their education. I love my teachers, I could never ask for better ones. Junior: I just wanted to give a shoutout to my high school, Trinity Prep. It's seriously the best school ever! The teachers are amazing and give excellent instruction to help us succeed. They're always there to help and provide guidance when we need it. One thing I really love about Trinity Prep is the positive vibe on campus. Senior: Being a part of the first graduating class of this school has been such a wonderful experience! I was even lucky enough to witness the state of the art institution being built from the ground up. With college level laboratories and a maker space that has tons of equipment, going to this school has been a great experience! While the school has an undeniably rigorous course load, this has made me feel extremely prepared for any college I may pursue in the future. Senior: During my high school experience I learned various things about my school. Being apart of student government and twelve clubs throughout my years gave me a glimpse into how professional my school is. Alum: Historic layout, familial ties, incredible spirit for all the sports and 100% inclusion for all people. That’s the best way to describe the feel of the school. So many programs available it’s impossible to take part in each one. I chose guitar and learned to read music and play at a high level. My cousin chose engineering and a my sister culinary arts. I’d say we have the bases covered! My mom graduated 29 years ago from my school and had her name and a brief quote carved into fresh concrete. She passed away last year so everyday I get to walk by her “square” and see her name in her handwriting. Winter Park High School loves to stay connected to its past and it alumni and you can tell just by listening to the passion about the school in my family’s and friend’s voices. It’s easy to get nostalgic even now. I haven’t left yet for college but ache for lunchtime outside under the trees with my cousin, sister and friends. Senior: Overall, Foundation Academy has been the best Christian private school experience. For only attending one year, I can safely say I have felt fully welcomed by everyone around me and have enjoyed every second of my senior year so far. Senior: Overall I had a very positive experience at Hagerty High school. I always had access to the most advanced courses offered at my grade level and was able to complete 15 Ap courses while here. Each class I took I was taught by a teacher were genuinely wanted their students to learn from the material and leaves the class better than they entered. Also, I always felt that the school was very organized and structured in a way that allowed for the students to achieve their best. I also participated in several sports and had great experiences with the coaches and teammates. I felt that they were highly demanding while never taking away from my performance in the classroom. The only negative thing I can say about Hagerty is the lack of diversity and outside exposure. As a result of its location, it is populated mostly by white students and the upper middle class. Senior: This school is like no other! A small community full of wonderful students and amazing staff! Great administrations staff and cleaning staff! This school is one of the best I have seen academically. However, our athletic department is growing as well and making its way through the rankings on all sports! Our school was named the best charter school in Florida and we have received A+ school certification 3 years in a row, with various Project Lead The Way programs and National Honor Society students. The school offers lots of Advance Placement courses such as AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Calculus AB & BC, AP Psychology, AP World History, AP Human Geography, and those are a few of them. Senior: Lake Nona High School is a pretty good school! There are a lot of fun moments, such as: music concerts, school plays and musicals, spirit week, senior events, and more! I've had an overall positive experience at this school, and I'm glad to be here with my friends. Now, I know that no school is perfect, so here are my complaints. A lot of the teachers here are good, but there are some in which they are not the nicest teachers, either personality-wise or with their actual teaching. Clubs are fun to be in, but sometimes it feels like the clubs have no real purpose and they start to feel a little bland sometimes. But, despite all of this, I am still glad to be at this school. Senior: Lake Mary was a fun school to be in for the majority of the time. The teachers there almost always want to help the students to the very best of their abilities and they do it with a nice and engaging environment. There is a problem with the fights. There are Fights every other day and it can really disrupt the learning environment when all you hear about is the latest fight that just happened. The school spirit is great. everyone loves to participate in the fun ways the student government comes up with. For example dress up days or fun activities during lunch or mini contest for fun little prices. Also the sports are one of the best qualities about the school. They take their sports very seriously and really care a lot for them no matter what sport it is and have many resources for the student-athletes to succeed. Other: I have been to Boone High School multiple times for Debate Tournaments, Student Council D3's and tennis tournaments. While it is certainly an older school and could definitely use repairs in many areas, when it comes to extracurriculars, Boone delivers! They have an amazing debate team as well as an incredibly hard-working Student Council. Every debate tournament is always well organized, and every D3 is always a well-planned mix of fun and education. On the grounds of what I would like to see changed, I recommend repairs to the school as well as increased security.
