However, despite the struggles, I must admit that this school provides a well-rounded education that prepares us for the future. Junior: Overall, I was incredibly impressed when I first joined Carrollton. I feel comfortable in an all-girls school and nearly every teacher there genuinely teaches well. The campus is gorgeous, but the only downside is the lack of a cafeteria. We sit outside in the hot Florida sun to eat lunch every day, and school lunch isn't even included with the already expensive tuition. Senior: I have been attending Belen Jesuit Preparatory School since I was a Freshman in the 2020/21 academic school year. I have loved the challenging academic curriculum the school has to offer, and the very supportive teachers I have had along the years. 9th grade was no doubt my most difficult year, but thankfully my teachers and guidance counselor were there by my side helping me get accustomed to the new school. Since my first year I have been running for the Track & Field Team as a 100m, 200m, & 400m sprinter. In the Spring of my Sophomore year I started playing Football for Belen. Since it was all new to me, I started out as a Wide Receiver, got moved to play Running Back, played Punter for some time, and finally got switched to play Cornerback; where I shine the most. I have loved every second I’ve been blessed to play these sports and wouldn’t want it any other way. Senior: I have attended Gulliver for years and they run an amazing educational system. All the students create great, professional relationships with their teachers and it really helps the learning process. Their Theatre department is outstanding. Everyone has amazing opportunities to broaden their acting and musical ranges. They have amazing sports teams and the student body has great school spirit. They have numerous clubs and programs to join and students can even create their own club if the one they want isn't available. I highly recommend this school. Junior: Within this school there have been an abundance of teachers who have a genuine passion for what they teach and you see it reflected in their tone when tackling certain topics in their classes and how they interact with students. Though this may be so, the amount of work given to children even before college is a thought to them is unheard of in other schools and thus had led to horrendous mental health across the student body. Yes, we are all very much so prepared for the world ahead, but this was all done at the sacrifice of ourselves. Our priorities get rearranged for this school to have what it wants because we know 'it is good for us.' This pigeonholing is worsened when the few uninterested teachers, insist that they are the only professors that actually matter. A minority, yes, but a very arrogant one. Sophomore: Lourdes is an amazing school. My first year I felt so welcomed, like I had been there for ever. There will be many people that you meet that are the sweetest. The academics can be tough at times, especially in the later years, but they truly prepare you for the college experience. There are also many events during the year including, OLLA Fest, Blue and White Week, Welcome Week, and much more. Additionally, there are so many ways to get involved here. Junior: Let me tell you, this high school is #1 in Florida and #4 in the nation for an excellent reason. This unique program 2-year program has been amazing. I have never been happier to switch to such a fantastic school. If you're lucky enough to be the few allowed into the school after applying, then you'll be able to experience a schedule that is unlike any other high school I have ever seen. Junior: To be completely honest, this school is an amazing school with great opportunities. You can apply and take dual enrollment classes, ap classes, honors classes, etc. The teachers are amazing and teach with great responsibility and care. My freshman year wasn't the best, because I overworked myself. I took classes I thought I could handle, but it was later revealed that I couldn't. In sophomore year, I decided to take a break from the ap and difficult classes and tried my best in honors. I would say I was overdue for a break. it was one of the best years of my school life and I made lots of friends. one thing that I would like to see change is the favoritism in this school.
