Senior: Awesome school. Small class size, average less than 20 kids. Great academic program, they have won many awards, and the school is always ranked in the top 10 small schools in New York. and great sports programs too! Most sports teams go to sectionals, I personally have gone to States for two sports, two years in a row!

Alum: JHS, all things considered, was a pretty good place to learn and grow. Despite the bad rap it tends to be given, JHS is a place where one can find friends and courses one wants to take that one would be hard pressed to find anywhere else. I honestly had a really good time at JHS, and recommend the music and art departments as the most substantial. They're areas that are normally forgotten about, but JHS offered courses that several of my college peers have never even heard of.

Alum: When growing up in Clymer, it just seemed to be a small town school where everyone knew everyone. As I continued my education, I realized how many things needed to improve in Clymer. Such as more college classes offered and just helping seniors and juniors get ready for their life out in the real world.

Alum: CMASAS gave me the greatest high school experience I could have asked for! The teachers and faculty work closely with the students to give them the best education they can, tailored to their specific learning needs as well as their interests. Without Mrs. Dolph I wouldn't have made it through my maths and sciences, and Dr. Radachy became somewhat of a mentor to me throughout high school. The course selection is phenomenal, and it's amazing getting to know other students from different parts of the world and completely opposite walks of life (I had an Olympic snowboarder in my homeroom one year). I'll always be doing my best to find ways to get involved with the school as an alumna, and I would definitely recommended CMASAS to anyone looking for a flexible online education.

Senior: My experience at Chautauqua Lake was something I'll remember for the rest of my life. The atmosphere there is amazing, people are always willing to help you out whether it's teachers, or even fellow classmates. People always say the friends you have in elementary school will probably not be the ones you have in hugh school and on into the rest of your life, however, I completely disagree, the people I have grown up with and the friends I have made at this school are countless. My five friends and I have been friends ever since pre-k from going to each other's birthday parties when we were five, to driving each other around goung to sporting events to root on our friends and our schools athletic teams. I have come to realize compared to surrounding schools that our academic departments and the amount of classes we have exceeds many schools around us coming from a small town with very small schools.

Pioneer Senior High School

Alum: Pioneer is part of a 4-school district that covers quite a lot of surface area around several small towns. It's quite rural and not very diverse, but it certainly has its merits. For those interested in farming, there are classes offered to directly suit those needs and even has a small barn on campus for extra experiential learning. There are several grass soccer fields and a nice turf field for the football team. Since I've left, they've totally refurbished the science labs and renovated the music suites. The music department throughout the entire district was phenomenal. Chorus is offered from 3rd grade up, band and orchestra from 5th grade up. The high school performs a musical every year which is always excellent, with students and community members alike welcome to perform in the pit orchestra. There are also quite a good variety of classes provided, including a decent selection of AP courses offered for potential college credit.

Alum: As a former graduate of Southwestern I look back and am thankful for the education I received from here. The teachers are dedicated and take the extra mile to help their students academically. The school was safe and well maintained. Now they have started beautiful renovations to the gym, fitness room, auditorium, & much more. In my experience there wasn’t a large graduating class, and I felt very close with my fellow classmates. The community is strong in the area, and give a lot of support to the school. One thing I’d like to see some more of is clubs/after school activities. I think there was also a lack of culture awareness when I was attending. This was 5 + years ago so I do not know if things have changed in that area. Overall SW is an amazing school in an amazing district. Lakewood are of New York was a beautiful, and safe place to grow up in.

Senior: At Frewsburg Junior/Senior High School the teachers do a great job of being available for the students. They not only help you complete assignments, but they also come along side you when you need someone to help you get through a tough time in your life. With that, they are furthering a student's education and teaching them about life. Something I would like to see change is for students to have more of a voice in some of the decisions that the school makes. After all, the students are the ones effected by the decisions the administration makes.

Alum: When I was making the transition from Elementary School to Middle School my parents informed me we would be moving, and I would be going to a new school. Upon arriving to Falconer for my first day of Middle School, I was overwhelmed with how friendly and concerned the staff and students were! They truly welcomed me with open arms! I remained a student at Falconer through graduation in 2013 and I couldn't be happier with my experience! From sports to academics, the staff truly cared about me! Our class size being decent, you really got to know one another. Students were always lending a helping hand, or planning social events. Falconer will always be my home away from home!

Alum: My experience at Sherman High School has arguably been the best any one could ever have. The school does the most with what they have. The teachers are wonderful and generally care about every student. They want to see every student succeed and do their best to make sure every student knows their true value. The education challenges the knowledge of the students and teachers willingly help any student until they fully understand the subject. I love this school and everyone there.

Junior: I love the small town feel of Brocton. There are only 35 kids in my grade, which allows me to get to know every one of them. Since we are a small school, each grade interacts with other grades. I have friends that are seniors, sophomores, and freshmen. I feel like going to a small school allows me to be more comfortable in my own skin.

Panama High School

High School Senior: If I had a choice to repeat high school and choose which school to go to, I would definitely choose Panama. Panama's unique quality of a small school, combined with the outstanding faculty and parents, make it a prime school for all students. Furthermore, because the school is small, a student is able to partake in more than one activity. For example, I participate as captain of the swim team while being an Impact leader. I also play a role in musical, while at the same time participating in Mock Trial. This wouldn't be possible at a large school, where a student might have to choose one activity to compete in at a time. I have made memories at Panama and built relationships that I know couldn't be made anywhere else, and for that reason, I would choose to go nowhere else than Panama Central School.

Alum: I loved my experience at Cassadaga Valley. It is a small school in a beautiful location. The staff truly get to know their students and invest their time to making sure they become successful. Since this district is so small students get a good amount of individualized attention and help when needed. One thing that I would change about this school is the amount of college course offered, I would like to see more college connection options in the future.

Senior: Westfield School offers grade k- 12, with an exceptional music department, with Grammy Award Winning Music teacher,Kent Knappenberger. Classes are below 20 kids a class and high school students can get college credits through SUNY -JCC community classes.
Students can join several clubs and sport teams for extracurricular activities. Teachers are all willing to help an extra hand with after school homework help and it shows in good graduating percentages. School partners with YWCA to offer before and after school "daycare" for students who's parents have to work.

Dunkirk Senior High School

Alum: Being a student at Dunkirk High School was liberating. I saw the ways other schools where separated between race, gender, and wealth. Dunkirk wasn't like that. Everyone was on the same playing field and it was few and far between that you dealt with a student who felt they where too good to be associated with another student. If I could change anything it would probably be the emphasis we put on our JCC courses. I wasn't encouraged to take them or even talked to about the advantage it would give me in the long run. Although I wasn't told about the possibilities the JCC classes would give me I took two classes and have received the credit for them at my current college.
