Alum: Quality education and teachers. The teachers are welcoming and supportive of our children's progress and ambitions. Sharon High School is recently built new, so they have a better facility. The school bus is free up to grade 6, but only if you live far away (2 miles if I'm not mistaken). Food needs to be healthier. Kids keep eating burgers, hot dogs, pizza, and bread for the whole school year. Also, after-school programs or clubs cost but the children didn't really learn anything. Elementary and middle school language classes are not useful, we ask the kids to speak the language they took and they can't. Schools and parents organizations keep asking for donation.... Senior: One of the best things about Canton Public Schools is the sense of community responsibility. The whole town seems to get involved in the schools in one way or another. Students are also encourages to give back to the community, with lots of opportunities available from elementary school on up to 12th grade. One of the biggest opportunities for students and families to volunteers each year is something called Kids Camp. While the camp is run by St. Oscar Romero Parish, it is a camp for the entire town. It's a week-long camp, with activities during the day and evenings, that's run by students for students. There is no cost. Families contribute what they can. It is a highlight of the summer for so many, and a tradition that draws college students and college graduates back to help each year. The schools donate the land and custodial staff. Junior: I’ve been in the BPS system for well over 10 years now, and it has created many memories I will not forget.
