Junior: The Rocky River School District is full of amazing opportunities, teachers, and students. In my time as a student at Rocky River, I have learned not only many things relating to my scholastic education, but also valuable life lessons from doing activities such as cross country. I’ve met tons of people, some of whom I consider to be some of my best friends. Not only are the experiences truly wonderful in the Rocky River City School District, but the educational system is also quite good. I am going to be a senior next year, and I feel as though I am in good hands to help with my transition into college. My teachers have always been helpful and willing to work with me, and usually I’ve found that many of them were/are very approachable. I am very grateful to have been a student in the Rocky River School District and I can truly say that I have genuinely enjoyed being a part of the school system.... Read 31 reviews

Sophomore: Bay Village is a wonderful school district in regards to academics and resources available to it's students. The school is very focused on academics, almost to an insane degree of perfection. While I enjoy academics and pushing myself I think that my school's obsession over perfection whether it be with SAT scores, GPA, or which college you're attending, can be extremely overwhelming at times. However, most teachers and counselors are wonderful and always wanting to help if a student is struggling. In addition , the parents and community are always very involved in the school which gives the school district a sense of community. For example, our community and school district raised over $10,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This coupled with the small community of students at the various schools add to the atmosphere of community. Senior: The Westlake school district overall is a very balanced place of education with a lot of opportunities as you travel your education path. As a student of Westlake I've always felt relatively welcome by the staff, never once being looked down upon. I've never felt bullied or attacked by other students and overall it's a rather calming place. As with every high school nothing is perfect and I can't say there's anything too outstanding about the school district either. It's just a nice community with a fantastic education, because that's where Westlake really excels. Westlake has some of the best teachers and resources in the area, while there are a lot of bad teachers in the non-honors track as an honors student I've felt that the vast majority of my teachers have a fantastic and unique way of teaching that really appeals on a per-student basis. Alum: I believe Avon Lake City School District provided me a priceless education and I could not have asked for more from my community. During my time, I was bale to make several connections with the teachers and created a bond. While the general faculty were sometimes difficult to work with, they did their best to adjust to students needs. Growing up in Avon Lake and being apart of the school system was an honor. Parent: It’s amazing, would recommend. My children love it here. It is almost as good as a private school but it’s public. Probably one of the best school systems in Ohio. Senior: My experience at Fairview High School is the experience you would want from any school with the amazing teachers to the schooling being more your pace and making sure you don't fall behind. The students will welcome you with open arms and with the many friends I've made throughout my years and they will be my closet friends throughout my life. Senior: The school is great and encourages its students to succeed the best they can. There is a great support system with the teachers and other peers. They have an amazing humanities department. The school also offers a lot of AP courses which are all taught extremely well. One thing I would like to see change is the funding and support within the arts.
