Works Here: I have worked at this school for over three years now and I feel like it just continues to get better and better. Like any school that exists, there are always ups and downs, but Cambridge Lakes Charter school sticks out to me because we are always growing and improving. I feel able to speak to any of the staff members and share collaboration and ideas. I have been given opportunities for growth and to be able to make things better for the grades that I have taught. I have loved getting to work with the families in the community and work with them in guiding their students through success in education. I love the students and all the creative ideas that they have given me while teaching. I have grown more in working at this school every year that I have been here. Parent: Oakcrest has been a wonderful place for my daughter to learn and grow. Since she arrived in 8th grade, she has grown and blossomed into a more Godly, confident and well-learned young lady. Oakcrest is a rarity in this area: an academically rigorous school that also puts a premium on Godly character development. Plus, Oakcrest truly looks to partner with parents in the education of their daughters, and has many events planned to grow and strengthen parents and families throughout the year - a win/win for all of us! The teachers and support staff are amazing, as is the new campus. Everyone connected with this school from top to bottom is amazing! Junior: I am currently a junior in Carmel Catholic High School. I couldn’t have picked a better school. In fact it doesn’t even feel like a school. It feels like a second home. All my friends are there and are very supportive. And not all of them are students! You’re teachers aren’t just teachers, they’re friends! Not only that, but Carmel also has various sports, arts, clubs, activities, resources, and more that have really prepared me for the real world. The best part of Carmel is the community. It’s like a second family to me! Everyone there is so loving and kind. Carmel also pays a lot of attention to the faith of students at Carmel. Although, it has been the year of COVID, the masses we’ve had still continue to feel like family gatherings.
