Lebanon Community Unit School District No. 9
- School District
- LEBANON, IL
- Rating 4.5 out of 5 2 reviews
Alum: LCUSD 9 is a good school. The small class sizes allow teachers to individually assist students that either need an extra challenge or an extra hand. Most teachers in the junior and senior high teach at least one class across all of the grades, making it easier to track student progress and ensure the students are meeting learning goals.
The community of the school is unique. Compared to larger schools in the area, Lebanon does a great job at discouraging cliques. Students from different circles (athletes, academia, the arts) interact with and are friends with one another; division among the student body is not common. That being said, a student's class will be that student's class from kindergarten until 12th grade. Coming in as a new student may be difficult and a problem with a classmate early on will have to be handled immediately as there really is no way to avoid someone in such a small district.
