Senior: I began attending school at Salado freshman year. It was kind of scary, but pretty exciting. I played volleyball and basketball so before the year had begun, I had already met some friends and had people around during the school day to help me get familiar with everything. That's how I met my best friend! Throughout high school, we've enjoyed laughing and watching games together, cheering on our siblings at sports games, inside jokes, complaining about homework, spending time together while also learning, and enjoying the adventure of growing up. At Salado, I appreciate that the faculty know and care for the students and help encourage us to achieve goals in our academics, sports, and personal development. I would like to see more teachers who are unbiased towards their "favorites" and treat everyone with the same respect, however, for the most part, the overall experience is one full of memories, lessons learned, and great times that students will remember long after they graduate.... Junior: I believe that the KISD school district is very thoughtful about their students' needs and wants. The district takes care of their students and gives back to the community. However, I think that they should try to bring more technology into the schools. With the situation now and going forward, I believe that upgrading and bringing newer devices into the school's environment would benefit the students. Additionally, I believe that the schools in the district should be renovated as many of the schools are overcrowded, and with the pandemic, it is hard to maintain social distancing.... Parent: This district has heart, compassion, support, there is nothing more rich and satisfying as a place with amazing educators and administration working together to provide the students with the best possible outcomes they can. The district is small and rural and lacks in funding support, however the education the children are getting is incredible. There are activities for every grade level and the parent involvement is incredible as well. I love this district! They are doing everything in their power to achieve excellence.... Read 5 reviews
