Alum: Queensbury is a district full of enthusiastic teachers, wonderful administrators, a surplus amount of extracurricular opportunities, great sports, fantastic arts programs, and not to mention top-of-the-line academic rigor and excellence. Queensbury's academic programs prepared me extremely well for college, which I can't say about most other school districts. There was always an event to be involved in or faculty that was eager to help. Queensbury, however, did lack diversity in both the student and faculty realm, which I recognize now that I go to an extremely diverse college. The Queensbury schools were always clean, modern, and resourceful. There were plenty of areas to socialize as well as rooms for relaxing or studying. Alum: I absolutely thrived at Ballard elementary & South High- The teachers and staff were amazing. SHMD meant so much to me- and i learned many many lessons about community while at SGF, I was given recognition in the things I was accomplishing- and i even still talk to my teacher from 3rd grade while i’m at college. With this being said the Middle school is another story- i have a sibling there now. They lack resources with mental health and they oversee a lot of bullying and harassment. the teachers there are pretty bad- not all of them but a decent chunk. The administration is not as bad as it was and They seem to be trying their best. Any middle school has issues but we could definitely improve ours. . I love ballard elementary and only hear good things- the highschool is amazing!!... Read 34 reviews
