Parent: I moved to mounds view looking for something different. At the time my son was going to Richfield public schools and they weren't the best . They seemed to just pass your children on to the next grade regardless of their academic abilities. Mounds view however, was totally different. The teachers are great at communicating with you as long and you communicate with them and they really strive to make sure the children not only understand what is being taught but retain the information as well.... Senior: I love this school district. Although it is large, the staff and buildings make it seem like it is a little school and little district that cares about every single one of their students. Not only do the teachers care about their students, but they do the best they can to have all of them succeed. The staff are amazing and are well respected among the students. Overall, it is a very safe place to attend. There is a small amount of bullying but that gets reported and stopped rather quickly. The staff monitors the halls, making sure everybody is safe and respectful. The technology and classrooms are very up to date and modern. There are a lot of different sports that are offered, as well as many clubs. Sports and other activities at these schools are very inclusive and welcoming. Since there are so many clubs/sports, there is something that every student is interested in and most are involved in some type of extracurricular program. I really enjoy going to this district!... Senior: Spring lake park is a great highschool, I have many fond memories, I made a lot of friends yearly. I failed somethings and exceeded in others. The teachers were great, they helped me, encouraged me and gave me a lot of oppurtunities to better my education. The school gives us a lot of oppurtunities during the day to relax and do our homework in peace. We didn't always have to be in a class, we had flex spaces that we can learn in. Overall it was the best highschool experience that I had and I wouldn't want to trade it. And it was safe I didn't have to fear anything.... Read 38 reviews

Niche User: I find that there are many schools offering different ways of learning. The school district is currently undergoing re-zoneing which seems unnecessary and also adds stress on families with multiple children who may be attending different schools. Additionally, prior to COVID-19 there were many "random" days off of school. This made it very difficult for parents to find childcare and also extends the schoolyear and shortens summer/working time for older students.... Read 107 reviews

Senior: The teachers are very good. Wished they were a bit more strict. The sport are quite good, same wit the coaches. Good resources for students. Everyone should be able to graduate here, only lazy individuals would not graduate here. They get a a lot of grant too so you can get free breakfast and after school snack. A few fights and the such but nothing really major. There is a school cop if that makes you feel better. The deans are alright, they will get you what you need to succeed.... Read 8 reviews

Senior: Columbia Heights is a small city in the Metro Area only a stroll from Minneapolis. One thing about their schools are that they are a huge part of the community. The Education at these schools are great but what's most notable is the diversity of the district. It's something you don't see at many schools across the country. Senior: Going to school at Brooklyn Center High school is one of the best experiences that I had. I had the opportunitiy to play football, and joining other activities that is very enjoyable. The best part of Brooklyn center high school is the help that they offered me as a new commer. Teachers are nice and always willing to help you with your classes anytime. It's easy to be friend with teachers, tutors, and students. The little issue that we had at Brooklyn Center High School is the school is not a big school and that affect the amount of programms or classes we should have, beside thar the school is fabulous....
