Parent: Park Hill is amazing! My children, whom both have very different learning styles, talents and skill sets; have both cancelled upon entering the District 2 years ago. They are currently building a new High School which will allow students to be among the first to participate in a new, innovative concept focusing on project-based curriculum! So excited for my kids to be a part of this! Across the board I am steadily impressed and proud to be involved in our Community and Schools. They have tons of clubs and intramurals, healthy food choices, sports and extracurriculars; equally the offer access to toms of resources, including their own clothing center and Community Education programs!

Platte County R-III School District
26 Best School Districts in Missouri
- School District
- Platte City, MO
Junior: Platte County's School District is definitely one of the better districts out there, especially within the Kansas City area. There are a large variety of different classes to take that can give students a both well rounded experience that still stays somewhat relevant to the students interests. There are many extracurricular educational activities as well, for those that want to put the extra effort. There are also a ton of different after school activities and clubs to be a part of. These range from many different sports, to academic competition clubs, to robotics, business skills, and beyond. The teachers are for the most part friendly and willing to help. There are exceptions but every district will have those, and the administration is generally reasonable. There are some criticisms to be had though, and they mainly pertain to budgetary restrictions that are hard to control, these include the food and the run down bathrooms.

Smithville R-II School District

- Smithville, MO
Junior: Smithville High School is a close community school. Over the past 10 years Smithville has almost doubled in size, but our school culture has never been closer. This year Smithville took the leap to start expanding their school district and began construction to create another k-6 school. Smithville has a great educational system for any type of student, with a special needs program, and a gifted student program. Two times every year the smithville school districts has their students fill out surveys on all of their teachers to help the staff better meet the needs of their students. These surveys also help the teachers educate their students using vast materials, such as technology, maps, classroom layout, and presentations. This year Smithville made the choice to be involved with the 1-to-1 program. This program provides every student with a chromebook to use in and outside of school for free.

Charlottesville Catholic School

Parent: Our family LOVES CCS! Our two boys went through CCS and are much better young men and students as a result. The overall environment at the Catholic School is exceptional. Academically, the students are encouraged, supported, and pushed to do their very best in the classroom. The teachers do an amazing job of reaching each student individually which translates into a trusting, caring, and successful school experience for the student, the parent(s), and also the teacher. In and out of the classroom the teachers and staff also do an extraordinary job of instilling discipline, self-respect and respect for others, thoughtfulness, and a sense of community and personal responsibility. Our boys continue to excel each and every year both as students and as young men in our community and I believe those valuable traits are a direct result of the foundation, mentorship, and guidance that they received as students at the Charlottesville Catholic School.
