It gathers people that come from all different communities and welcomes them with open arms as they embark on a new adventure. The academics and sports are amazing truly. Some of the best in Kansas! Senior: DeSoto has been great for me. The administrators in the district are very easy to get along with, and they always think about the students and their well-being. Also, the student body is very kind and accepting. It is extremely easy to find people to get along with. Having a mixture of every type of person, finding people to get along with and fit in with is rather simple. I have been in the DeSoto district since Kindergarten, and I have enjoyed it every year. I have built many friendships with in the students, as well as teachers. Throughout my high school years, I have gotten involved greatly. Ranging from sports, to school spirit organizations, I have devoted myself to my school. I played tennis for four years and basketball for one, loving the atmosphere from both. Senior: Olathe has always been a safe place to live in as well as enjoy the city and rural zones. So when it came to schools, Olathe schools was the best district to go to. Olathe Schools District always seem to be adding advanced technology for the students to have the opportunity to learn the new technology of our world. Olathe Publics schools have always have many programs to help the students achieve there goal, such as English program for those Non-English speakers like me. Niche User: I worked there for quite a few years, until my health forced me to quit. Super, super administration and teachers - caring about each other and the students. All five of my children attended here; several were special needs and the related staff with creative in adapting to those needs. All my kids got an excellent education, individualized as needed. The facilities need upgrading - there's an upcoming bond issue to deal with that. There's not as much diversity as I would like, but there's all the diversity that's possible in the community.... Junior: Overall, the Maize Unified School District is great for those looking to provide their children with a solid education. My personal experience with the Maize District has been mainly positive. The community of teachers here are welcoming and kind, and the quality of education is excellent. Maize High School in particular offers many college level classes that allow their students a headstart on their academic journeys which have proved extremely helpful to many alumni and graduating students. Senior: my experience with this school is friendship and sports. I am very good at working with my hands in the shop and if it was for that shop I would be here. the way I do this is by just working with my hands and getting them dirty and making something. I made triangle bars for my dad on his swather this year already and now I am working on building an engine in a ranger that my dad owns. I like framing yet this school does give out the FFA but I still like this school a lot better than the rest of the schools in our league are anyway. i love the shop class and the kids are amazing here the classes are fun I have lots of friends here and they all love this school yes we can fight and argue with each other. this school has tought use a lot about the future and how the world works. so I like this school the best besoeu this is where all my family came from and went to this school. even my grandpa graduated her in 1969... Senior: I like the small size (25 in the high school) but there is a problem with bullying within the school. Teachers seem to let one or two girls run the school and turn a blind eye to what is really going on. But the education that I received it unlike any other place! Senior: I have been attending school in Goddard since the first grade, so I do not know what outside schools are like, but I am very grateful to have attended Goddard. The teachers at my school are carefully chosen, and most of them genuinely care and actively show that they want their students to succeed. One thing that could be improved upon is the quality of the technology provided by the school. Senior: I love the relationships with teachers! The teachers are warm, welcoming, and encourage you to reach your full potential! I remember being excited to go to school every morning- I was extremely proud of my elementary and middle school! Once I was enrolled in 9th grade, that's when I became subject to bullying, as well as micro-aggressions (as an African American). Senior: Overall, I have enjoyed my experience with USD 383. Starting from Bergman Elementary, through Anthony Middle School, finishing off at Manhattan High School, the journey I've taken was unique. You see, you can't rate the quality of the district just as much as rating the people, the classrooms, the learning, and the love you felt whenever you're around such committed people. Attending school doesn't entirely revolve around the concept of learning itself, granted that the importance of learning should not be undermined when discussing the overall experience one has on attending schools in a unified school district. As I received my education, I was accompanied by my classmates. These classmates do not fall under the category of my classmates, but rather my friends. All 400+ of them. Senior: I love Sterling High School. Everyone is friendly, the teachers are super helpful and I feel very prepared for college. We get taught a lot of life skills that will be helpful when I go to college next year. We have a nice building and nice facilities and our sports are wonderful. The coaches that I have had are great people that teach me about the game and about life. Overall, the teachers, students, and staff want to see you succeed. They will do anything and everything to help you with anything. If you need some advise, or just someone to talk to, they are there for you every step of your career. Senior: I loved every part of my experience in the Renwick school district. I loved going to a small high school and being involved in so many activities. The school is big enough that you have access to a wide variety of academic options and extra-curricular options, yet small enough that you know the names of everyone that attends. A small school also has a great sense of pride in their community and is supported strongly by its community members. It also allowed me to partake in many service learning opportunities, in which I was able to give back to my community in a small way for all that it has done for me. The size of my school, also allowed me to be active in a wide variety of extra-curricular activities ranging from sports, to band, to an active member of many clubs. I love my small town high school and hope to return someday to raise a family of my own in this community and school district.
