Senior: I've never seen a school with better teachers. They chose and hired people that are super knowledgeable and passionate about their classes. You can tell that the teachers care which was really important to me. For such a small school, the clubs and sports available are insane how many there are. Sophomore: I have been to schools within West Ada for most of my schooling. The quality of schools has always been outstanding. For example, I am currently going to Rocky Mountain High School, and the quality of the building and facilities is just amazing. It really helps build the atmosphere and makes school infinitely more enjoyable. This isn't the only positive aspect of it though, the teachers and staff have always been welcoming. Senior: I like that Moscow High School is a very inclusive school. Everyone is very nice and the school ensures that bullying is not tolerated here. The teachers do a good job of making sure students are learning and understanding the information being taught. The location of the school is the only thing I don’t like. Niche User: Parma school district is like a big family. With all of the schools so close to each other, it creates unity from the youngest kindergartner to the high school senior. We are all united in red and black cheering and supporting each other. With that sense of community and family, our teachers and administration strive to create the very best atmosphere for learning. When we aren't learning, we are supporting our clubs and sports. Although we are a smaller district, this allows all students to support each other as many overlap in clubs and sports. Senior: I have gone to Nezperce High School all of my life, so I may be biased. The teachers at Nezperce High School care about the students on a very deep level whether it is academically, emotionally, or physically. The school counselor is very caring and skilled at making sure that seniors are prepared for college. She directs students to scholarships, opportunities, and issues that should be addressed. The safety of the students at Nezperce High School is also noticeably important for the staff. However, I think the staff has a rather difficult time adapting to new modern ways of teaching and turning in assignments because they usually teach in ways that they were taught when they were in high school.... Sophomore: My experience at Sugar-Salem high school has been unforgettable. Sugar City is a small town with one gas station, and more state banners than people. Ultimately, winning is our legacy. I think this is partly due to the expectation we are held to from our town, coaches, and teammates, but also ourselves. Here in Sugar winning is not only desired, it is expected. It is not if you win state, it is when. As a part of the Sugar City cheer team I have been able to witness firsthand what a winning mentality can do. The power of visualization and expectations are key. Every game, meet, race, competition and tournament we go to, we show up and give it our all. Senior: I think that our district as a whole is a fairly good one, but like all systems, there are flaws that could be fixed. We've got some extremely caring staff and some members just do it because it is work. I would feel confident sending my children here, I could relate to them (me being alumni) and I could confidently go to the administration with any issues I may have. Senior: The teachers at Valley are usually very good. They tend to help you more and get to know you better because of how small the school is. Sometimes the teachers can pick favorites and judge you but that's just what happens in life and we all have to learn how to deal with it. The student body is wonderful and most are very welcoming. It's easy to make friends and become a part of the school because of its smaller size. There's always room for more. You also can't get lost in the school because there's only three hallways, a lunchroom, and two gyms. Senior: Bonneville Joint School District #93 has many different options and opportunities for students, such as dual credit and AP classes, many sports, clubs, and fine arts programs. Most teachers are incredible and dedicated to their subject, and the administration is top notch. One thing that would make this school district better is providing better information about the academic opportunities for students that want to work ahead. I had to seek out advice for working towards the offered Associate's degree in partnership with Idaho State University, and it was a random stroke of luck that I had heard of the program in the first place. Senior: I feel extremely privileged to have been able to attend school in the Vallivue School District since kindergarten. From Elementary to Middle School to High School, I've had amazing teachers and mentors who have done nothing but encourage and support me. Many of my teachers have been the most influential people in my life. I've also had access to a phenomenal choir program that has exposed me to all sorts of opportunities that have pushed me to become all that I can be. While my high school's sports may not be as good as others, I find the immersive academics and outstanding arts programs to be far more important. I feel that my education has prepared me for a successful college experience and future career.
