Senior: SAMOHI offers about 27 AP classes, tutoring, and variety of clubs. Choosing classes is an easy process. The school is enormous, so it's well staffed. However, not every teacher is well qualified for the job, as there are few young teachers who only have teaching certification, instead of degrees. The classrooms are pretty spacious and have sufficient desks. The new Innovation building is clean and has great lab rooms. Currently, there is a construction on campus to renovate the Science building. The lockers are pretty small but can fit textbooks and binders. The campus has a littering problem. The nice thing about SAMOHI is students from grade level 10 and above get to have 35-minute lunch out of school. The athletics are not that good, except water polo and girls' volleyball. Overall it's a good school.

Senior: Forest Ridge is a great school to attend, the academics are very challenging and the teachers know how to push students to create the best work possible. Since the academics are quite rigorous, there is a slightly stressed and competitive environment at the school. However, this does not mean that the student community is not strong. From my personal experience, everyone is so friendly and welcoming, especially new student entering the high school. I would recommend this school to prepare for college readiness as some of the courses mimic college level work. Athletics is also another fun part of the Forest Ridge experience, there is a no-cut policy that ensure that all students can participate in any sports; this is a great place to meet new people in other grades and where I made some of my best friendships!
