It has a great program for students that just movie from different country. JHS is a school filled with diversity and has no discrimination against any students. Alum: I attended Owasso schools from 6th grade to graduation, and thoroughly annoyed the school. The staff and teachers truly care about the students, not just their grades and attendance, but also their wellbeing, their home life, and their future. Most of the teachers I had wanted to make a difference in our lives, teach us how to succeed not just in the class, but how to become well rounded, mature adults who can contribute to society. The only downside was that arts and music sometimes got pushed to the back burner. As a 6A championship school in most sports, they heavily focused their efforts and money on the sports programs. The arts got a fair amount of funding most of the time, but when it came to replacing art supplies, purchasing new equipment for theater classes, or buying new computers for the yearbook department, they were a little more hesitant. Alum: When I attended Union Public Schools from 2011-2018, it was a really amazing school. There were many resources available to students free of charge that would help them succeed when success seemed too far to achieve. I have a little brother that attends Union currently. I wish that they would honor is IEP more so that my parents could send him to school with confidence that he will get the help he needs. Junior: Claremore Public Schools cares about their students and wants to see them succeed. The faculty and administrators continue to provide a safe, healthy environment for learning. Middle School Student: Collinsville schools are great for many reasons. One is that the teachers will help you, and that they will keep you safe at all costs. Second is they are all very nice, and they will go out of their way to ask you if something is wrong. Third is they will greet you in the morning and then you go inside to do whatever you need to do then head to your classroom. That is why in my opinion Collinsville schools are great in general!... Junior: The best part of my high school experience was the STEM program and the sport programs that I was involved in. I made many friends and memories, both good and bad. Alum: When I switched from Tulsa Public Schools to Skiatook Public Schools I was surprised at the improvement in education. The school isn't perfect, some teachers aren't the best and certain areas could use more focus and funding. But overall it is a wonderful place to graduate with plenty of extracurriculars and good leadership structure. At my previous schools, everything was lower quality; teaching, food, buildings, discipline, etc. For being a public school in a small town like Skiatook, SHS is way better quality than what I'd seen before.... Freshman: I am a student at TPS and I’ve yet to experience anything conflicting to my educational experience. The mental health resources have been improving, as well as the learning experience. Physical education has been excellent at TPS for quite a while! I would most definitely recommend this district over most surrounding ones. Parent: Love Love Love our small school environment! My daughter has been attending for 5 years now & I wouldn’t consider anywhere else! Teachers & staff are very well trained & experienced in every aspect that I have been associated with! I truly believe our school is better because of the 4 day week. Our discipline is better, our teachers are more efficient because they have a shorter amount of time to get things done w/out the unneeded extra time to waste, & even moral is better overall because students & faculty get to school & get their stuff accomplished & have a break from the grind. We have hired & maintained well qualified teachers & staff where other schools have struggled. Senior: I started attending Tulsa Honor Academy in the 5th grade and it was a new school, with their first graduating class last year in 2023. Over the year I realized how different my school was from others, we had longer school hours, longer school years. We had teachers who cared about us and wanted us to succeed outside of high school. With that comes lots of discipline, I feel like my school is really strict on us which allows some of the scholars to act up and get into trouble. The best part of my school is the message it portrays which is they want everyone to get into college and be as ready as possible, I feel like my school has done exactly that they make sure we stay on top of our work and are helping us senior apply to many scholarship and colleges....
