Senior: Attending Strafford High School was such a great experience! The teachers at Strafford go above and beyond to support their students' dreams and goals; the faculty always do their best to promote a quality learning environment' and the students are very driven, involved, and compassionate. However, if I were to change one thing about Strafford High School, I would encourage Strafford to adopt AP and Honors classes to better prepare students for the continuation of their education and future career. Sophomore: Republic High School is a great high school that fully prepares you for a bright future no matter what a person's background. Senior: I absolutely loved my time at Bolivar High School. Though it is a public high school, there were a lot of Christian teachers who helped me in my faith. I participated in cross country and track, and the coach is a very Godly and loving man who pushes each of his athletes to the best of their ability. He makes himself available to help each individual athlete on a personal level as well. I believe the school has excellent pride in its athletics, academics, and overall community. It is very family-oriented and focuses on each student individually. There are many opportunities at Bolivar High School including athletics, clubs, and creative groups. Sophomore: My experience with a small school like Fordland High school along with making life long relationships has been both positive and negative. I moved to Fordland during my 8th grade year from a large school with a class of 350 students, now at Fordland there are around 18 students in my graduating class. the academics are a lot better in my opion at a smaller school because you can form a 1 on 1 experience with your teacher and talk to them as a friend.... Junior: I've been attending Willard schools since I was in Kindergarten, and it's been an amazing experience. As an elementary student, I was given encouraging, bright, welcoming, and helpful teachers who not only set an example for their kids, but made sure they were someone their students could lean on. By the time I entered high school, I dealt with so many affectionate teachers, I couldn't state which ones were my favorite. Even more so now, as a junior, I'm realizing what a blessing it has been to have the teachers I had. From an athletic standpoint, I've been playing volleyball for eight years, and I've been coached by some tough and knowledgeable women. They have made an impact on me by showing me what it takes to be hardworking and how much effort is needed to accomplish your goals. I can now say that I've been to State twice, with us winning the State Championship as of this year. These women have made my dreams come to life, and I couldn't be more grateful. Alum: I grew up in Mount Vernon and loved attending school in my hometown! The teachers and administration were fantastic and always ready to help students! I felt very involved in my town participating in clubs, activities, and sports. I attending school in Mount Vernon for 13 years and graduated with honors. The facility was great and always being improved for its students. The only thing that could be improved is that I wish I was more prepared for college. My school did not offer as many dual credit classes as I would have liked. Entering college, a lot of my classmates had many more credit hours than me because they were given that opportunity. Senior: I loved my experiences at Spokane High School! My teacher had hearts of gold. Each one of them would ask me how my day was going with such genuine expressions on their faces; and they always made sure that my needs were met. I had some teachers who worked hard to make sure that I succeeded, and then there were teachers that made me work hard to succeed. I learned a lot from my four years at Spokane and will take my knowledge with me wherever I go. One thing I would like to see change in my school is the lunch food. Junior: I have been a student in Springfield for 12 years now and have experience at Pleasant View, Hickory Hills, and Glendale High School. I have overall really enjoyed my experience with sports, teachers, and other students. Each school is unique and has something different to offer so I appreciate the experiences I have had. Getting involved is so easy and has made my experience much better. I would recommend that anyone attending join a club or a sport and try to get involved. It allows for a different point of view on SPS. Though I have had some issues with scheduling and conflicts, they have been resolved quickly and efficiently by the people assisting me. I also feel more prepared and ready for college because of the information and path given to me at Glendale. Senior: I have loved my life experience at Clever. My mom was a teacher here for 16 years before she went to go teach somewhere else. They dynamic of the school is awesome. The staff is welcoming and very easy to talk to when you have a question or an issue. They have a variety of classes to fit students needs and they hold the students to a high standard of achievement! School comes before sports at Clever. Junior: I'm so glad I have the opportunity to attend Chadwick High School. I've been to a few different schools around the area, but overall I'd definitely say that Chadwick beats them all by a long shot. The teachers here tend to offer a lot more one on one time than at other nearby schools, which draws me back for my second year of attendance. They make it fun, and easy to build good attendance due to the fact that the teachers truly care about you, and don't just see you as another head to count or another student to teach. One teacher imparticular, (to remain un- named) refers to her students as her own children... The type of environment provided at Chadwick give children a secure feeling that they are indeed cared about, while still stimulating the child's urge to learn.
