Alum: I went to Bluffton High and I really feel like it did an amazing job preparing me for college. I am currently enrolled in the nursing program at Georgia Southern University and thriving due to the discipline the school has given me. I went to Bluffton Elementary and they start kids writing in an agenda young so that when they are older they are accustomed to writing things down to help remember dates. Senior: I thing that Effingham County Schools have shaped me into the person I am today. I was in a STEM program with accelerated honors classes. Although it wasn’t easy, it was completely worth it. I was committed to doing well in school because it would ultimately lead to great success. It is drilled into our brains at an early age that in order to get into a good college you need good grades. With that in mind, I pushed myself to do the best I could. I joined clubs and did community service to be more involved in my school. Being the treasurer of one of my clubs gave me important money management skills. STEM gave me other opportunities like being in Dual Enrollment.
