Senior: Los Alamos High School is very rigorous in academics for a public school, so most kids go to college very prepared. The teachers are usually pretty good, although in a small town, there aren't many options for teachers, so bad teachers don't get fired. The music program is very good, and offers many opportunities to explore music. The sport departments are decent, and the school has many competitive sports that often win district or state championships. I think the school needs to improve upon mental health resources. Because of the highly academic nature of the school and the community, I feel the mental health of students is significantly worse than it is at other schools. There is also rampant drug and alcohol use among the students, which likely does not help students' health, mental and physical.... Read 23 reviews

Senior: Santa Fe Public schools provides education, leadership and guidance, along with many other opportunities to students of all backgrounds. Our public school system ensures a chance for each and every student to individually grow and succeed. I am grateful to say Santa Fe Public Schools has provided a community for me and many others. This overall community has helped us become the people we are today and the people we will continue to grow into for our futures. Being in the system from elementary-, middle- and high- school has taught me to explore career paths and in other interests such as hobbies. Academically, achievements are always offered in order to inspire students, alongside challenge them. In electives options include sports, music, art, engineering, and various other opportunities that inspire children to pursue their dreams, and acknowledge that they-we-are capable of achieving anything we put our minds to. Alum: I'm a Pojoaque Alumni student. My first year ever was 8th grade at the middle school. I then continued going to school at their high school and am so proud to have graduated from there. I have met so much amazing people and made close connections with their teaching and counseling staff. They motivated me into attending school clubs and also motivated me all the way till graduation day. Alum: I attended Espanola public schools from grades K-12 and have had a positive educational experience. I have received a good education and have done good on placement tests, ACT, etc. There are good teachers, some with whom I still remain in contact with to this day.
