Junior: Eureka High School is a wonderful community to be a part of. There are many ways to be included and involved. There is little to none harsh treatment towards anyone and if there is, we have amazing staff to take care of any issues that arise. I feel comfortable and safe being a student at EHS because I know I have genuine friends and devoted teachers to help me along my high school career. Eureka High School may not have the highest budget compared to other schools, but even so, there are many extracurriculars to be a part of. Alum: Morton Community High School was great! I wouldn’t have wanted to attend any other high school. It gave me my best friends and memories that will last forever. Most of the teachers were extremely caring and thought about every individual student. I believe that they prepared me for my incoming year of college. I feel that they put their all into making each and every one of their students to be the best they can be. The teachers and staff were friendly and knew how to make school fun! They interacted with students and tried to find numerous way to create a fun and safe atmosphere. No one was left out from the staff or teachers and everyone was treated equally. Alum: Brimfield may be a rural town, but there will not be a gap in the education level you will recieve on the campus. The student body is hard working and intelligent, only further encouraged by the school staff. The teachers and faculty are kind and encouraging to their students. They can be a shoulder to cry on or a part of a support system that a student may not find elsewhere. Teachers specifically aren't afraid to get on students about their grades and motivate them to do better. No school is perfect, however Brimfield is definitely nowhere near the worst of them. There you will find a passionate, active environment where students of any standing can grow and flourish. If you play sports, there won't be a game where the student section isn't full of your cheering peers. If I could change anything about Brimfield High School, I would have more clubs. The school just began a Gay-Straight Alliance, which is well overdue, but besides that and Chess, there aren't a lot of clubs to join.... Read 9 reviews

It is a good school system and a nice community with excellent teachers who are interested in supporting students in their education and preparing for the real world. The schools are clean and updates to the junior high and high school are appealing. They have a wonderful music program, good coaches and wise administrators and teachers. Senior: IVC offered a great opportunity to find myself. There were many opportunities to explore my identity outside of the classroom through clubs and activities. The teachers are great they care for their students immensely. The academics are good; however, due to the side of the school there are lacking of options when it comes to AP courses, but the courses offered are good. The building is okay. They fix it to keep it intact, and during my time they have added a lot to the facilities around the school. The culture of the school is lackluster. Students are quite lazy and there isn't an emphasis on academic success / no punishment for not caring. It seems as if teachers are heavily encouraged to try and pass kids people do not care. Senior: My experience with Elmwood High School was a relatively good one. Most of my teachers were very supportive, helpful, and good at their jobs. The classes variety of classes to choose from helped students go on a path they felt was right for them. Because of our block schedule, I know I will be more ready for long college classes then those who do a traditional schedule. However, there were several issues when it came to the dress code as it was never enforced fairly or regularly. There were also some issues with staff gossiping about other students, with other students. The food was not great, it was always a hit or miss and there weren't a whole lot of options to choose from if it was a miss. Overall, my experience at Elmwood High School was fairly good. Freshman: As a small town school, the Deer-Creek Mackinaw school district is a close-knit community. The schools step in when anyone needs help, no matter the situation. Over the past few years, Dee-Mack has raised several thousands of dollars for St. Jude, and has made no hesitation with helping the students and families we have had personally affected by cancer. The education provided at Dee-Mack is structured by a curriculum that sets a strong foundation for students to build on as they continue to further their education year after year. My personal experience at Dee-Mack has always been very good. I have never had issues with feeling included and the bullying rate is little to none. Our teachers are always involved and willing to help anyone with extra help and whatever else may be needed. Senior: I like the small classes and the one on one time with the teachers. Also, being able to connect with teacher more is great. The sports teams are small but there is usually less drama and everybody know everybody so that is great. I like the school just the way it is. Senior: Limestone Community High School has been there for me in many ways over the last four years. I love the staff. I have never felt like they were not on my side. They are always reminding me of new opportunities and offering their help and advice. My teachers are skilled at being patient and answering questions when they are asked. The worst parts of my experience here have been during my freshman year when COVID-19 was at its strongest. It was awful having to learn online and wear masks literally everywhere. We were even told to wear them outside for sports and that is where I drew the line. In all honesty, though, they were simply enforcing the rules. Other: I was student for a year. Specifically a senior in high school. The high school I attended had great teachers that I really appreciated. Some students didn’t realize that and did not act accordingly. The reputation of the school also wasn’t lot the greatest or the safest with security police presence at all times. One never knew when something was about to happen. I was lucky enough not to ever witness a bad event or action by anyone but I was aware of different situations happening at school. Back to the teachers. I really enjoyed all my classes and learned so much from every single one. Despite the situations teachers we put into they always pushed thru and made sure they taught the class accordingly. They never treated students differently and we were all the same from the once that were ready to go to the once that did not want to be there. Senior: I like how small the school is, because you get a closer relationship to peers and teachers. I've never had an issue with the staff or academics. Some things that I wish were better are parent and student involvement. It is encouraged but not as much as it should be. I've had a good experience with all my teachers. In some classes they made sure to challenge people to make them better students. They always help those who struggle in their classes and have goals to see us succeed. Alum: The teachers were very friendly and helpful. It is a small school and has a good student to teacher ratio. They had a well-stocked library and their theater program always produced good quality plays. The facilities were always very well maintained and I found this school provided good educational environment. One of the down falls of a small school is that there wasn't a variety of language classes offered and the extra-curricular programs were limited. While I attended we did not have a football team.
