Senior: The Medford School District is a very good school district. They focus their work on the student and their needs. They also work their best to include all students. The only thing that may need some work is noticing the bulling and making fun of problems. My brother was getting picked on for around a month and none of the teachers noticed it. Parent: There is something for everyone in Grants Pass schools, from rigorous course offerings where students can earn college credit while still in high school, to fun after-school clubs, activities and sports. Many of the school's programs (welding, culinary, band, etc.) receive top honors at both state and national competitions. Senior: I have loved being in the Phoenix Talent School district! The class sizes are small, the schools are on the smaller size so staff members are able to get to know the students individually. The have been exceptional up until COVID hit. When the pandemic hit the district had a really hard time communicating and including everyone (students that felt uncomfortable attending school especially). They did a wonderful job ensuring that all students would have food even though they were home and did everything they could to keep all employees employed. The district just built a brand new high school that is absolutely gorgeous! It has wonderful new facilities that will permit new opportunities and improve mental health. The incredible amount of windows and a more functional floor plan will allow for a safer more inclusive environment. Staff members truly care for the students and seem to love their jobs. Senior: I have grown up with this school district my entire life and it has been nothing but wonderful. Updates are very fast and informative in cases such as the weather and delays, and my teachers have been a delight to have from kindergarten through senior year of high school. Though it is a smaller district, I still get a lot of support through the community. Many kids from my high school volunteer at the district office and at various elementary schools in the Rogue Valley. The school district is always on top of grading and they make sure systems are running smoothly for everyone. Senior: I'm a high school senior attending Rogue River Jr/Sr High School currently; I've been in the school district since I began kindergarten. There are plenty of great reasons I never switched schools. I was determined to graduate from the school I started at, and that was made easier by the pleasant environment set by the staff, the individual academic attention we are given, and the several opportunities for extra activities and college workshops offered. The staff is dedicated to helping their students in any aspect they can. Whether it be academically or personally, the teachers and other staff truly want to see their students succeed and find their passions in life. Clubs are open to anyone who wants to try them, and I connect best with Rogue River's Arden Ensemble. Junior: My experience with EPHS is fairly good. I enjoy my time there, but the connection with teachers and staff is poor. The work we receive is mostly paper worksheets which is boring to most student. The after school activities are really good with the amount there is to offer.
