Alum: I personally liked the Seward school system. I liked that their were 2 counselors so that there was usually one available. I felt like a majority of the teachers knew what they were teaching and did a good job explaining. Junior: Lincoln Public Schools is an overall good school district. The teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable about what they teach. The majority of the teachers in the district are younger than average, so they are able to connect with their students, even as younger generations continue to differentiate from older ones. Many of the teachers are passionate about their work, which is reflected in their students' engagement in class. Additionally, there are an abundance of opportunities for devoted students to challenge themselves. I myself have enjoyed the opportunity to take multiple AP classes, which have challenged me to think in new ways in order to learn. However, there is a lack of dedication for students who aren't as devoted. The district provides the same opportunities for these students to learn, but they don't inspire them to use these opportunities. Junior: Malcolm Public Schools provides an excellent education and experiences for all students who attend there. The teachers and staff at Malcolm are very knowledgeable, helpful, and encouraging. Despite its small size, it provides multiple opportunities for students to be involved in clubs, activities, and sports. Due to my experience with Malcolm Public Schools, I have become a very well-rounded and experienced student. I have learned many lessons about discipline, motivation, hard work, and perseverance while attending Malcolm Public Schools. Everything that I have learned at Malcolm will help me in my college and life experiences. One aspect of this school that I would change is the amount of discipline. Sometimes, teachers do not attempt to put an end to bad behaviors/bullying circumstances. Senior: I moved to Crete recently, as I wasn’t being treated kindly at my old school. Crete has shown me what it feels like to have a place that feels like home, and they’ve done that for me in two months, and my old school couldn’t even do that for me in eleven and a half years. I feel loved, cared for, and respected in Crete Public Schools. The teachers are some of the sweetest individuals I have ever met, and I’m so happy to say that I’m actually excited to go to school every day. My mental health is better than it’s ever been before. There were many opportunities brought to the table as soon as I transferred. I want to go to college to be an instrumental music instructor, and my band teacher has done everything in his power to help me get there. He’s done so much for me already, and he just met me when I transferred. Junior: The staff is extremely helpful and supportive. As a student at Milford Public Schools, I have experienced multiple opportunities to learn and grow as a student and person. It is because of my incredible teachers, coaches, and administrators that I have become the person I am today. In comparison to other schools, Milford offers personal learning and maintains high levels of respect towards people in and out of our school. The admin does a wonderful job of involving students. For example, they inform the student body when there are extracurricular events taking place. Along with this, we occasionally take off days of school so that students can support their classmates. One specific example that comes to mind is the weekend of boys' state basketball. This is a fun break that allows students to cheer, perform, and compete. Senior: I loved my experience with palmyra! It’s a small school which is what I like the most about it. Since it’s a small school it gives you many opportunities in extracurricular activities and a better chance in being able to do those activities. I love how everyone is so close with each other. It’s just like a small family and it makes me happy. Another main important aspect that I loved about Palmyra was that the teachers there cared very much about you success.
