    Junior: Madison City Schools prioritizes safety, education, and the future of each of their students. Having attended elementary, middle, and high school in this district, I can confidently say that I have received a superb education and have beeen treated with extreme respect. The counselors are more than helpful when it comes to course work, registration, and college scholarships. I have no complaints about any of the staff members!

    Alum: What i liked about Hartselle city schools is that they challenged me academically and physically to be the best person I could be. All the teachers wanted every student to succeed and did everything they could to make it happen. Coaches also taught young athletes to be the best they could be at whatever they did. There was nothing that Hartselle city schools didn't do, because they all wanted the student to be ready to go to college and make them feel comfortable whenever the students where in there.

    Parent: My daughter attended Athens City Schools and received a quality education that not only prepared her well for college, but she used her dual enrollment classes to gain a whole year of college credit. Great teachers and staff! We really appreciated the family atmosphere of the entire system!

    Alum: Graduated from HA in the early 2000’s. The tuition is expensive, more than most public in-state colleges, but it’s worth the education received. The main downsides are the uniforms (now) and the attitude of the students towards students who enroll later in their academic career. To the uniforms, this idea was started by a group of parents whose kids were in preschool. We didn’t have issues with dress when I was there and the clothes and embroidering have to be purchased through one store that is owned by a parent of the school. It isn’t about helping curb issues among the kids who can’t afford the latest fashion, it is a money racket started by a wealthy family. The other issue is something the parents need to cull at home.

    Junior: Overall, Decatur City Schools is a wonderful school system. Having attended Decatur City schools all my life - as a elementary, middle, and high school student - I can personally attest to their excellence. The academics are top notch. The teachers are knowledge in their field and very dedicated to their students. The classrooms themselves are diverse - filled with all different kinds of people. As an elementary school student, I interacted with African American, Latinx, Asian, and Jewish children, and learned how to tolerate and accept differences because of it. School spirit is very high in general. With most students attending every football game, and most other sporting events. I could barely turn around in my high school without spotting someone sporting a "Decatur High" t-shirt or jacket. The food, however, is awful with administrators looking to cut costs and calories instead of providing truly nourishing and healthy food for the students.

    Senior: I love the Madison County school system because of its tight-knit community, strong leaders, and drive for success. There are always new ideas and changes being promoted, and our school system is always striving to be the best in every category possible. Our sports teams are competitive, our teachers are highly qualified and want their students to succeed, and our administrators are top-notch and truly care about their students and community. I aspire to be an educator one day, and my hopes are that I can come back and join the Madison County school system and give back to what I have been given.

    Middle School Student: Huntsville City Schools is a wonderful school district. You learn a lot almost everyday, and you become very prepared for college or later careers. The teachers are very skilled and are great at preparing us for careers. Huntsville City Schools in overall one of the best school districts in Alabama!

    Alum: Overall, it was good. I do feel like I was not properly prepared for college and the real world. I think more focus should be put on what college is really about and how to apply for colleges and scholarships. We did not have that information readily available while I was there. Other than that, I feel as though I had a good experience in the Morgan County School system.
