Senior: There are many things I love about Columbia Public Schools, such as the block schedule, how caring the teachers are, and the tutoring that's provided. However, there are a few things I'd like to see change. I would eliminate the contracting for honors in studies classes because the students earn the honors credit without actually doing the work. And lastly, I'd change is how they don't let us students use graphing calculators on math tests when they put them on the syllabus as something we need. If I'm going to spend $110 on a calculator, I'd like to be able to use it. Overall I loved going to school through CPS, elementary and high school were my favorite but I loved it all. I had such fun experiences and met some great people. And this is why I decided to rate CPS four stars!... Read 43 reviews

Alum: Blair Oaks is a school that is unlike any other. The sense of community and togetherness that surround Blair Oaks is what makes it such a great district to be involved with. During my time as a student at Blair Oaks, I was involved in various academic clubs and organizations, as well as athletics. Each club was given the same amount of attention and support from administration, despite its popularity among the student body. During my high school volleyball experience at Blair Oaks, my senior season in particular, my team and I had a truly astonishing amount of support from not only the administration and students, but also from the surrounding community. The stands were packed for every game, and we could all feel the love from the district as we stood on that court. I was extremely proud to wear a jersey that had the words "Blair Oaks" printed on the back. Niche User: I went to school at California and it is a very good school. They stay on top of the technology in order for students to keep up with studies when out due to Covid-19 or anything else. Senior: High school was an amazing opportunity filled with lots of memories of education, athletics and friends. The best part was having multiple options of extracurricular activities and ways of being involved. There really was not a worst part, but the school is very large so it is easy to be unknown and not feel a part of something. A change that would help is to promote the activities that all students can be involved in. I feel students know there are things they can be involved in, but there is no "go to" or place to see what is available. Senior: I am very glad that I grew up attending at the Hallsville School District. It definitely has the small town school feel, as most classes are below 100, so everyone knows everyone. That means everyone helps everyone out. Can’t find a ride? Text a friend. Need some sugar? Ask a friend from school, it’s a strange request but I’m sure they would do it. Of course though, with everyone knowing everyone, that also means it’s rather easy to spread rumors and even bully. It’s hard for staff to crack down on bullying, I understand that, that is not something solely happening in Hallsville, and the staff does do a lot to prevent it, but I’m sure there is more that could be done. And I may be making it seem as though it’s a large problem, but it’s really not, maybe a couple here and there, always fade away by the end of the year. Alum: Fulton High has a unique set of teachers who really pump the students up in creative ways to get through their classes and exceed expectation. I didn’t realize how much I had until I went to college and had teachers that had bigger and less personalized classes. The only thing I wish I could change about Fulton High is how to achieve scholarships, and prep for college life. Senior: This school has taught me a lot especially when it comes to improving academics and teaching leadership to every students. Senior: Prairie Home school is a k-12 institution. This means that kids from kindergarten all the way to 12th grade are in the same building. This may sound very odd and unusual to most people because I'm fairly certain that isn't very normal. However, I have had a great experience in the almost 13 years that I have attended Prairie Home. It's a very small school, meaning that I know everyone by name, throughout every grade. We don't have the best sports records, but no one ever gets down on themselves for losing, you just try harder. Being such a small school, the one on one time and connections you get with your teachers is unlike any at another school. If I were to need help on any kind of assignment, I could go to any teacher and they would give me the time out of their day to help. I am lucky to have spent my academic career at Prairie Home.... Senior: I have attended New Bloomfield School District since Kindergarten and it is your perfect ideal small-town school! Everyone knows everyone and the school is full of smiles! Each teacher is different and it's a new experience in each classroom! It is always a fun environment and allows for a lot of creativity.
