Sophomore: The school is very big and well funded. Though there isn't a library at the school, there areany other aspects that make up for the lack of. One thing is that there are a lot of clubs and extracurriculars to choose from and they offer more difficult courses for students that want to challenge themselves. There is swimming, tennis, footbal, soccer, golf, track, cross-country, and even a bowling team. The academics are competetive and we are ranked high in division 1 in many sports. In addition to sports, MHS values academics very much. Parent: As a working parent of two students during the pandemic, I would have to say that Wyoming has done a tremendous job balancing safety for both students and staff along with maintaining excellent instruction for all students, whether in-person, remote or hybrid. We have always been impressed with the quality of the teachers our children have had in the classroom. This year they have all risen to the challenge and our students (3rd and 6th grade) have continued to learn and progress despite the plethora of challenges presented by the pandemic. The approach of educating the "whole child" is evidenced by the inclusion of the extraordinary arts and music programs within the curriculum. Junior: I have been at Beechwood High School since kindergarten. Throughout the course of these 13 years at Beechwood I have seen many things change. All of the changes have been very good to the community and the school as a whole. Some things I would like to see change are the food, I know that isn't a high priority but the food at our school is not very good and it makes some people not feel good. Another thing I would like to see change is the parent involvement, involving parents more into the school atmosphere would give Beechwood the kick that it needs. Overall I believe that Beechwood is a good school and should be taken more seriously and the effort it puts in needs to be given back as well. Senior: The education system here is very excellent, they offer a much higher quality education than the other schools in the area. Here they provide specialized classes that help prepare for anything you may want to pursue after high school. The only thing I would change would be the extracurricular focus here. Parent: My kids were in the district 2007-2015 before we moved to IHSD. I still think FHSD's approach to gifted math/science may be the best model in the Cinci area. Being in a core subject with all gifted students left a lasting benefit in work ethic, confidence, and self-acceptance. At the MS, I was terribly disappointed to find that in an era of mass customization, they failed just as much as any other large district to leverage their size to offer more than basic differentiation. The ES literature/writing program was disappointing for advanced/gifted. My younger kids might have benefited from staying in the district through ES, but my oldest needed to continue to be in classrooms where competition with other students wouldn't allow her to coast. Sadly the damage caused to our mother-daughter bond by the woke undermining beginning in MS was only understood and mended after college. I wish the best to the new school board.... Read 55 reviews

Junior: I entered Loveland as a kindergartener in 2012. Throughout my experience, I have learned one thing this school district tries really hard. The district had a problem passing levies to improve the function of the school but did not give up, it took almost 4 levies until one finally passed. The district has different programs installed in the school to make students feel included, for example, the middle and high school has a hope squad that allows students to get one on one help from their elected peers. Along with this is a student-elected student council allowing students to have a voice. The school spirit has grown over the past few years at football games and during homecoming having events like powder puff and dress-up days. All the school spirit makes school more enjoyable and feels as if the school is one community. Senior: The teachers make the experience a lot better. It’s easy to make long-lasting connections with them. I also love the opportunities we’re giving at Lakota East. They offer many AP courses that’ll get us prepared for college. I love how the counselors listen to what you request. They are helpful in making a choice. They are sincere and optimistic people. It is also easy to make new friends because the school is filled with many kind individuals. I haven’t had a bad experience at Lakota East, but I personally would love to see a change in after-school clubs. I feel that the school doesn’t have a huge variety and that there is room for more. Senior: Coming into this district in the middle of my freshman year, the environment, students, and staff were extremely welcoming. It was a very easy transition in a tough time. Having been in this school for 3 years now, I've seen how connected the community is within our school and its activities, how close everyone is to each other and the staff, and how supportive our environment is. I felt so disconnected when I moved here and now I've never felt more at home. Our staff is supportive and truly care about how I'm doing, both academically and emotionally. Senior: The best part of the boone county school system is the support that the staff provides. I know that I can go to a teacher or someone in administration and they will listen and hear me out. I also know that they are willing to help in any area. If I am struggling the teachers make sure to explain to me what is going on until I understand. However, I would like to see more opportunities for christians. It is hard to be bold in my faith because there is not the support or acceptance there needs to be. I have to be careful about talking about my faith because students and teachers will just dismiss me. Junior: Throughout my 12 whole years in the Ross Local School District, I was never disappointed. Ross offers so many opportunities, extra curriculars, and so much support from all of the staff. I was never disappointed in the performance of Morgan Elementary, Ross Middle School, and Ross High School. I have never heard of another district with such passionate teachers. The teachers employed by the Ross Local School District go above and beyond ever single day for their students no matter the circumstance. The bond between teachers and students in this district is outstanding. Along with their passion for teaching, the staff will do anything in their power to insure that every single student will succeed both in school and in their futures. The leadership of all 5 schools in our district is insane, with every educator always wanting the best for their students and staff. Senior: Milford has come a long way in the past years that I've been attending here. In Junior High, I found the rules to be quite old-fashioned and not with the times. We still had a very strict dress code that was clearly targeted toward female students. There were also rules such as not allowing mobile devices during lunches and having assigned lunch seating. Lunch is a time for social activity and communication. Maybe you needed to send a text to your parents about a ride after school. You're not allowed to do that during class so the best time would be during lunch. All of these rules have dissipated since I came to high school. I like how they actually treat us like adults and give us more freedom. It gives all of us more reason to follow their rules because we can be accommodated if we need to send a text or want to talk to our friends outside of class time. Senior: The Lawrenceburg Community School Corporation has great facilities for students. The school has upgraded athletic facilities such as a new basketball/ volleyball arena with running track, locker rooms, and a beautiful video/score board. There were also updates recently to the track, swimming pool, practice fields, and the softball field. Senior: There are many different choices for classes. There are different levels of classes and they offer almost any class imaginable at Oak Hills. The lunches are not bad but they are not the best. the lunches are edible and are sometimes good. The school is big and there are many different types of people. There are many extracurricular activities for many different types of people. We have a lot of sports teams, a baking club, no craft club, NHS, health professionals club, and many more. At Oak Hills it is easy to find something that you have fun doing and fit in somewhere. However, the class rank system at Oak Hills is not the best. The person who has the highest number grades in the hardest classes may end up ranked below someone with lower number grades in easier classes. Junior: I came to Lebanon at the beginning of my 6th grade year from a private school. I was so nervous to go to a new school, but as soon as I walked through the doors I felt welcomed and I knew that this is where I was supposed to be. On my first day I was immediately greeted by my teachers and they made me feel comfortable in a place that I wasn’t familiar with. Overall teachers and staff as well as the students here are incredible and that’s what made my experience that much better. If it hadn’t been for Lebanon I wouldn’t be in the same place that I am today and I’m so grateful for this school. Senior: Little Miami High School is an interesting experience. The faculty is amazing, I've only had a few teachers that I didn't particularly enjoy but overall the experience was pleasurable. I've made life long friends there and if you're a pretty social person that's not an issue. The girls here are always open to make a new friend no matter who you are or what you do. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the boys, they're the main issue at the school. They don't know how to act and rarely get punished for their crude and disgusting behavior. In high school you’ll most likely be prepared for life outside of school with the range of electives.
