Senior: Good overall schooling and requirements. I had many good years learning in this district, lots of fun in-area activities the district supported and opportunities for future. However, many decisions made by the district were overlooking what the schools and classes really needed and made unneeded tests for their own funding, taking out important class time for tests to place everyone in extra help classes or not. Niche User: Parma school district is like a big family. With all of the schools so close to each other, it creates unity from the youngest kindergartner to the high school senior. We are all united in red and black cheering and supporting each other. With that sense of community and family, our teachers and administration strive to create the very best atmosphere for learning. When we aren't learning, we are supporting our clubs and sports. Although we are a smaller district, this allows all students to support each other as many overlap in clubs and sports. Senior: I feel extremely privileged to have been able to attend school in the Vallivue School District since kindergarten. From Elementary to Middle School to High School, I've had amazing teachers and mentors who have done nothing but encourage and support me. Many of my teachers have been the most influential people in my life. I've also had access to a phenomenal choir program that has exposed me to all sorts of opportunities that have pushed me to become all that I can be. While my high school's sports may not be as good as others, I find the immersive academics and outstanding arts programs to be far more important. I feel that my education has prepared me for a successful college experience and future career. Alum: Being at a small school was definitely interesting growing up, my graduating class was only around 60 students! That's not very many. During my time attending there was definitely ups and downs, but it was a wonderful school with wonderful faculty. The teachers were very attentive and made you feel seen. They always offered a helping hand and genuinely cared about their students. The school itself is full of history! It's also in a lovely part of town. I enjoyed my time there, and each staff member gave me wonderful tools and experiences to push me forwards with my life, some of the teachers even still reach out despite me graduating almost two years ago.... Senior: Overall, Middleton High School has been a great experience for me! The staff here are amazing—especially in terms of helping Seniors move forward with college in terms of scholarships, enrollment, applications, etc. I have only been here for less than a year (moved from another state) and have loved the environment/atmosphere of the school, and have really enjoyed the change! On a different note, I am not a fan of the way the math program here works. I feel like using CPM wastes a lot of time because instead of teachers actually teaching us how to do things, we spend a lot of time trying to figure it out by ourselves (only to fail and find out it really isn’t that hard once the teacher demonstrates the technique to the class). I understand the idea in trying to help us discover and think through why certain things are done to get to a solution, but such teaching methods honestly just stress me out and make me more confused.... Senior: I have been with Inspire Connection Academy for 3 years and I have really enjoyed it. I like how there are clubs to join and activities to do such as in-person field trips. I also really enjoy how there is a Zoom meeting for every class once a week so you can learn from a teacher also helpful because the teacher goes over what we have learned in the week, reviews tests, and helps us with difficult subjects. I really love how they make sure you are getting all of your required classes done to make sure you are on your way to graduation I used to go to an online school that didn't do that and if I didn't come to Inspire Connection Academy, I don't think I ever would have gotten that far and would have been on my way to graduating. Another thing I really enjoy is the variety of classes they provide. One other thing I really enjoyed was how the teachers really care about the students and make sure that each student is set up for success which many other online schools don't care about.... Senior: I did Idaho Virtual Academy for 5 years and i loved it. It was a great school and i loved being apart of it. It taught me to not procrastinate which was a hard one for me. The classes i took were a little hard but it taught me work ethic. Doing 8 classes a day, especially on a computer was hard enough but the academic portion of it was great. Doing high school like this online was very flexible for me to do it at my own pace. Even though it was online i was able to talk with my teachers and see them face to face at events or at test taking places. They were great at providing me with a laptop and the materials like a mic. and the books. It also taught me self motivation, having to wake yourself up, get work done but also having breaks between and getting the motivation to stay working throughout the day. While i was doing school online i was determined to keep myself off the computer with running, archery, and hunting. Finishing school through IDVA was very rewarding.... Read 18 reviews

Senior: Homedale is a very small rural school. Comparatively, there are not a lot of opportunities for clubs or academics. But overall, I really enjoyed my Homedale experience. Junior: The Nampa school district has overall an excellent balance of extracuriccualrs, push towards academics, and emphasis on growth. The morals and values that are taught in the elementary schools are also a primary focus in the high schools, showcasing the districts importance on stimulating the overall person rahter than solely the academic career. The staff thus far have all been welcoming and encourage their students to continue their education past high school, whether that be trade school or college. It is evident that many care deeply for their students and have a personal relationship based on mutual respect. These are teachers that are truly creating a difference both in the classroom and the community through the lives they touch. The Nampa school district is filled with examples of excellent character and proves that ones past doesn't define the fuutre, giving hope to many of the students. Freshman: Choir program is awesome. Good opportunities for diverse extra curricular and college credits/opportunities. Got some awesome teachers and some not awesome teachers but who doesn’t? Big cheating problem which I struggle with because I’m actually one of the honest kids and it can be hard to maintain integrity and a good attitude when ur grade suffers because you won’t compromise your standards. Loving the health pathway, tryin to get my associates when I graduate. So many good people that just want to support kids and there goals! Works Here: Caldwell School District is a great disctrict. They provide a lot of activities, specifically around STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). The teachers are phenomenal, and truly care about their students and the community. Oftentimes they do outreach activities in the neighborhoods of some of the underprivileged students, and it's heartening to see the teachers out there with their students and their families. With the recent involvments in Apple technology the students are able to learn online under a brand new system. Senior: My overall experience at the Richard McKenna Charter High School - On Site, was amazing, during my time there I learned a lot through the teachers as well as several research projects... There were a few times where there were problems with specific staff members, but those have since been resolved. The projects we did there were very hands-on and participation is the best way to learn in this school, I totally recommend this school for anybody who learns through research and through example/doing, especially in the History class... The history class is very hands-on, not in the way where we make posters that are considered information dumps, but more like we make something for the community, we go on field trips to see places and learn, that kind of thing...... Parent: As a parent of students attending this school I see the excellent work of the district to offer career technical education and many dual credit opportunities. STEM is valued and promoted in a very successful robotics program in the elementary school. Chess teaches critical thinking in the primary school. All students are participating in sports, band, choir, theater, DECA, Ag Science and many, many other programs. This is a very progressive school in small town Idaho.
