Junior: Bridge City has been an excellent school district for me. We have caring teachers, staff and nurses, who were able to identify my ADD and assist in identifying several other medical conditions at a young age. They have continued to shape me by offering help that is allowing me to pursue my dreams of a medical career. I am currently enrolled in the CNA program and several other college courses. I am excited to have these opportunities that are allowing me to be self sufficient in a career field prior to graduation. Senior: Hamshire Fannett Highschool and the district overall is a great place to learn and create memories. I personally came from another district and automatically fell in love with HF. The first and most important aspect I fell in love with was, the the love and support all the teachers showed they made sure I understood everything they taught. The next thing that made HF so great was the friendly kids that attend our schools. My first day there at HF was amazing I was able to make a lot of friends within that week because everyone is a big family. For the sport fanatics out there we have a great football, soccer, baseball, volleyball, softball, tennis, programs that do very well. But HF does offer clubs for people who don’t necessarily like sports like an engineering program, drama club, choir, Christian club and etc. If you are looking for a good school with with deep tradition and family like bonds Hamshire Fannett is the school for you!... Senior: Compared to other schools around the Port Arthur area, Bob Hope School is an alright choice! It’s a very small knit community, allowing for a better relationship with teachers. Many educators really care for you and want to see you grow, the ability to do great here really depends on the students. The diversity isn’t that great, many students live in a bubble where many students at home are not shown to different points of views but teachers actively try to get people engaged and always learning. Alum: Beaumont Texas. Switching from West Brook to Silsbee was big change for me but I absolutely loved it. Despite the school being tremendously smaller, the spirit of the school community was out of this world! At football and basketball games, literally the whole town travelled and supported the teams... I've never seen anything like it before, it was amazing! However, I wish the people of the town supported girl sports as much as they did the guys. As a softball player I couldn't possibly imagine how it would feel to have thousands of supporters overlooking my games but I'm sure it would be a overwhelming feeling.
