Senior: Great school! Staff were really nice for the most part and competent. I participated in mostly AP/Honors classes, and all of these teachers seemed qualified and well trained. Extracurricular activities: clubs, sports, music are all really developed programs. Music especially is phenomenal. Football is the only sport I can think of that doesn't do too hot, all the others do really well, and the same is true for clubs. Some of the middle level campus facilities need to be updated. The junior high campus (7-8th grade) especially needs some renovation, but all the other campuses are doing pretty well, and the high school is a really great place.... Read 72 reviews

Senior: I have attended east valley high school since the sixth grade and I have made many great relationships with students and staff. I have also been exposed to many sports, clubs and activity opportunities. Through extracurricular activities I have easily found my personal interests. Although I have found in my high school years that there is a major lack of accountability for ones actions within the school. As well as a lack of advertising and communication of activities. As a senior I have received a tremendous amount of help with preparing for my future from Gear Up staff and our senior advisor. With this help I feel confident in my plan after graduation.... Senior: I have been born and raised in the same town that both my mom, and grandma have always lived in as well! The Selah School District has done well about challenging me in my learning, yet walking alongside me without leaving me behind. I have been given many opportunities to challenge myself with Honors Classes. Parent: I appreciate the small size of the district, and the commitment of the teachers. There are limited opportunities for foreign languages, and overall the district seems to have limited parent involvement. Would like to see teachers be able focus on life skills, financial preparedness, and good ol' American history and social studies. There does seem to be an increasing number of students who struggle with significant behavioral issues. This is likely a challenge in many districts, however I have witnessed the repeated disruption created by one student in a classroom, and this negatively impacts the 20 other students who are there to attend and learn. Senior: Sunnyside has a great student assistance and plenty of resources to help them towards their future goals both academically and emotionally. They have great staff and faculty that help encourage students to be greater. The school is really big and has many elective options as well as running start and college in the classroom options. One thing I would change about the school would be the way in which it spends a large sum of money into buying accessories and tools that are not necessary to have. Senior: I attended the Highland school district when I entered kindergarten. My most favorite memories where made playing with my friends and creating bonds here. Sadly after second grade my family and I had to move to the Wapato school district due to work. I came back my fifth grade year and was immediately welcome by my classmates. The Highland School District has a feel like no other school I’ve gone too. The classes are small, in my graduation class there is about 75 students. These 75 students are the same ones you grew up with, this allows us to be able to pick up a conversation with anybody in or class. This tightly knit community feel has allowed me to make all sorts of friends from different backgrounds. I am a senior and I can surely say that I will defiantly miss The Highland School District. Senior: What I like is that the teachers get to understand you and they help you in any situation. Students will support other students that would need help. We get to have lots of sports for both female and male. Also having clubs that are fun to participate with. Having to have classes that I have taken again because I love taking the class. Senior: My overall experience with the Grandview School District was good. Throughout elementary school I didn't have any problems with any teachers or my academics. During middle school I didn't have any problems with my teachers but my grades weren't the greatest. I was having social problems during my time at Grandview Middle School. My last 4 years at Grandview High School were very good. I participated in different sports activities. I joined the Fast Pitch Softball team, Slow Pitch Softball, and Girls Wrestling. I also enrolled in college in the classroom courses provided at my school. Whenever I would have an issue about my grades or an assignment my teachers would be there to help and guide me through it. Senior: My experience at Wapato School District is the caring and protected environment I sense in the school. All the times when I felt lost there are always these amazing staff members and classmates that encourage me and lead me to success. The most important point about this school is there are different opportunities with a variety of clubs and activities for the students could engage in. Also, different advisory goes to the district and benefits us as students. The factor that could improve about my school is the budget amount our school has. Since our school is in a small town sometimes we don't have the same opportunities as the other schools because their school budget is higher than ours. Senior: I've had a fairly good experience in Granger High School, students were very friendly and keen to help out. The teachers are very open and talk to students like friends, as well as make jokes. My counselor helped me research what opportunities I have after high school and helped me realize I could aim high if I wanted too.
